Transportation & Parking Info for Oceans Calling Festival 2025

Information provided by the Oceans Calling Festival and the Town of Ocean City.

Here is your parking and transportation guide for the 2025 Oceans Calling Festival to help you plan ahead so you can minimize uncertainty, anxiety and frustration.  Remember, “Ocean City is a barrier island with only three ways on and off the island.  This means during special events that attract large amounts of visitors to the island; it’s a given that there are significant traffic and crowd issues.

The festival begins at noon each day and ends at 11 PM each night.  George Peake, the Director of Transportation Operations from the Town of Ocean City offers his insight,

By working together with the police and concert event staff we hope we have all made strides to improve our operations to “move people”.

Using our bus system:

  • Due to major residential developments surrounding our north bus station parking is VERY limited in the area
  • Public Parking at 100th Street near the library fills up fast
  • Convention Center parking is free, and we will be focusing on transporting people from these lots until they are full

The #1 Guide to Ocean’s Calling Concert Goers- Know Before You Go

The third annual Ocean’s Calling Music Festival in Ocean City, Maryland is just two weeks away! Here are seven tips guaranteed to make your concert experience everything you wanted and more.

Secure and Activate Your Wristband Now

Oceans Calling wristbands

Wristbands have been mailed out to all ticket-holders.  Once you have them, be sure you go to the Oceans Calling site to register them.  If you didn’t get tickets before they sold out, there are still tickets available through the “Verified Resale” links on the Oceans Calling website.

Wristbands are NOT transferable

Wristbands are not transferrable from person-to-person and there’s a $20 cost to replace it if lost. Slide your wristband on ahead of time and secure it tightly so it doesn’t slip off. It’s your ticket into the concert and must be scanned on the way out as well. No exceptions!

Add Your Credit Card to Go Cashless with your Wristband

Cashless is the way to go in this type of venue. Register your wristband here and add your credit card so that you don’t need to worry about lugging your wallet out each time you want to purchase something. Ocean’s Calling is also offering a $10 credit for the first 2,000 people who activate their wrist band with a Chase credit card!

Here’s how to register for Cashless:

  1. Activate your wristband and register your account with your Chase credit/debit card, or any other credit/debit card. Then set a required PIN for security.
  2. During the festival, order at any food, drink, merch, or vendor and let them know you’re paying with your wristband.
  3. Tap your wristband, enter your PIN, and you’re done!

If you do not register your wristband, cash is still an option for payments.

Plan How to Get There

Getting to and from the concert safely is Ocean City’s number one priority. Ocean City offers various routes of transportation to do just that.  Remember, the doors open to the festival grounds every day at noon and the music starts every day at 12:30 pm.

Land Transportation

Ocean City Beach Bus
The Ocean City Beach Bus will be shuttling people to the festival area throughout Oceans Calling.

All you need to navigate the buses, parking lots,  and other land transportation is the Oceans Calling Festival 2025:  Parking & Transportation Guide.  Remember, that “Ocean City is a barrier island with only three ways on and off the island.  This means during special events that attract large amounts of visitors to the island; it’s a given that there are significant traffic and crowd issues.”

George Peake, the Director of Transportation for the Town of Ocean City offers some tips and insight:

Using our bus system:

    • Due to major residential developments surrounding our north bus station parking is VERY limited in the area
    • Public Parking at 100th Street near the library fills up fast
    • Convention Center parking is free, and we will be focusing on transporting people from these lots until they are full
    • The Coastal Highway bus service runs 6AM to 3AM next day; on a daily basis
    • We are running a shuttle service from/to Park “N’ Ride in west OC and it has free parking.  This shuttle will operate during the hours of 6AM to 1AM next day during the concerts
    • Many will use the outlet mall parking as an overflow
    • We will be selling bus tickets, including multi-day tickets at the Park ‘N’ Ride facility
    • For Oceans Calling I have 165 bus deployments scheduled during the three day event; and for Country’s Calling, (a two day event), 100

Coming from over the Route 50 Bridge? Frontier Town also offers a shuttle that runs approximately every 2 hours. In addition, the bus station just outside of town across from the outlets will be coming in over the bridge as well.

Water Transportation

Saltwater Adventures is  offering a boat taxi service to and from Ocean’s Calling. Saltwater Adventures has teamed up with OC Bay Hopper, Go With The Flow and Liquid Tiki to provide the best and most convenient way to get into downtown OC for the music festivals,
with multiple pick up locations in Ocean City, Ocean Pines and West Ocean City.
Ocean City, 118th street and the convention center. Ocean Pines, the Yacht Club. In West O, Harborside Restaurant and Pier 23 (Go with the Flow, Salty Siren).Running from 8:30am- midnight or just after all 3 days. They will drop you off at either the Angler Restaurant or the new Oyster & Scales Restaurant. Find out more here.

How Can Your Hotel Help?

Hotel Shuttles: Some hotels may offer courtesy shuttles (drop-off at Somerset St., two blocks from the venue). Check with your hotel.

Label Your Bicycle

bikes at oceans calling
Bring your own lock to secure your bike on the provided racks just north of the entrance to the concert.

If you were there last year, you know what I mean. Hundreds of bicycles are neatly lined up on bike racks that the city provides just north of the concert entrance. If you want to find your bicycle fast, make it visibly different than all the others. Make sure to bring your own locks and only use the offered bike racks. Bicycle is by far one of the safest and quickest ways to get to and from Ocean’s Calling.

Safety Note: If you do chose to cycle down to the concert, please be mindful of vehicle traffic and stay in bicycle lanes when you can. Traffic lights and cross walks are to be followed.

Bring Only Necessities

Being a minimalist allows for you to have more fun without the hassle of lugging things around.

Who wants to lug around a bunch of stuff you don’t need. Bring only the bare necessities- wrist band to get in, phone to take all the selfies, and keys to get yourself back in your house. Blankets are allowed for concert goers to spread out in the sand and you can always tie your sweatshirt around your waist. (If you register your wristband with your credit card as mentioned above, it’s one less thing to carry.)

Making sure to bring your cell phone is an important step in preparing for Ocean’s Calling. In case of important announcements, concert goers will be able to receive information quickly via various news outlets.

If you are bringing in a bag, smaller ones (6″by 9″ or smaller) are allowed. If it’s a larger bag (12″x6″x12″) it must be clear.

Plan a Meet Up Spot Before Hand

These friends planned a meet up at the big french fry bucket! And loo how happy they are to have found one another.

There are charging stations set up for cellphones, but we all know no one wants to stand there and wait. If your cellphone does die, have a planned meet up spot for you and your friends to go to in case you can’t get ahold of each other.

Food Options

There is a lot of food from the Boardwalk shops which are all inside the footprint of the Oceans Calling Festival for 2025.  There are also food vendors on the beach by the stages.

O.A.R. by Ismael Quintanilla III for Oceans Calling 2023

We all want to have a good time. Everyone wants to sing along to their favorite band, eat some great food, have a few drinks (or not). The most important thing is that everyone has a good time while also being safe. OceanCity.com wishes everyone a great concert and we can’t wait to see everyone there.

5 Maryland Bands You Have to Catch at Oceans Calling 2025

0

If you’re heading to Oceans Calling 2025 in Ocean City, Maryland, you’re in for a wild weekend of good vibes, salt air, and seriously great music. What makes this year extra special? A solid lineup of Maryland-grown talent hitting the stage. From pop-punk nostalgia to reggae-rock beach vibes, here are five local acts repping the Old Line State loud and proud.

O.A.R.

OAR seems to be a Maryland staple at Oceans Calling in Ocean City, Maryland.

Let’s start with the hometown heroes: O.A.R. (Of A Revolution). These guys are basically Maryland music royalty. Formed in Rockville back in the late ’90s, they blew up with jam-rock anthems like “That Was a Crazy Game of Poker” and “Shattered.” Whether you’re a diehard or a casual listener, their live shows are a guaranteed good time.

They’re headlining Friday night, and trust—they know how to work a festival crowd. It’s gonna feel like one big beachside reunion.

Bumpin Uglies

If you like your music with a little ska, a little reggae, and a whole lot of attitude, Bumpin Uglies are your band. These Annapolis dudes have been grinding for years, building a loyal fanbase with tracks that are raw, real, and sometimes straight-up hilarious.

They’ve dropped some killer albums lately (Lyrics Over Everything slaps), and their live energy? Off the charts. Catch them Saturday and prepare to dance barefoot in the sand. I’m hoping they play I-95 or Bad Decisions!

Good Charlotte

Yes, THAT Good Charlotte. Benji and Joel Madden’s iconic pop-punk band started out in Waldorf, Maryland and went full MTV-era legends in the early 2000s. Songs like “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” and “The Anthem” basically raised an entire generation.

They’re hitting the stage Saturday, and it’s going to be pure nostalgic chaos—in the best way. Black eyeliner optional (but encouraged).

Ballyhoo!

Straight outta Aberdeen and no strangers to Ocean City, Ballyhoo! bring the beach party vibes. Their sound is a mix of reggae, punk, and alt-rock, perfect for a festival by the ocean. They’ve been at it for a while, and if you haven’t seen them live yet, you’re in for a good time.

They’re on deck for Friday, so grab a drink, find some shade, and let Ballyhoo! kick off your weekend right.

Eric Hutchinson

Last but not least, we’ve got Eric Hutchinson from Takoma Park. His music is like the perfect Sunday morning: chill, upbeat, and surprisingly deep. You’ve probably heard “Rock & Roll” or “OK, It’s Alright With Me” even if you didn’t realize it was him.

He’s playing Sunday, which honestly feels perfect—easygoing, melodic, and the perfect way to wind down after two days of dancing, crowd-surfing, and sunburns.

Bottom line? These five Maryland acts are bringing the local flavor to Oceans Calling 2025, and you do not want to miss them. See you in the sand.

The town also celebrated its inaugural Ocean City Seafood Festival at Northside Park this past weekend. OC Rock & Ride 2025: The New Era of Ocean City BikeFest

Ocean City’s legendary motorcycle rally is roaring back to life with a bold new identity. From September 10–14, 2025, bikers, music lovers, and coastal cruisers will gather for OC Rock & Ride, the reimagined continuation of the beloved Ocean City BikeFest.

From BikeFest to OC Rock & Ride

For more than a decade, Ocean City BikeFest brought riders from across the country to Maryland’s coast. Now, under new leadership, the tradition has been reborn as OC Rock and Ride — refreshed, rebranded, and rooted in community values.

The rally is now proudly owned and led by Matthew Odachowski and his son Tyler, Ocean City locals with deep ties to the area. Their vision ensures the event stays true to what bikers love most: the rides, the camaraderie, the vendors, and the open road.

“This isn’t just about an event. It’s about protecting a tradition that fuels our local economy, brings people together, and makes Ocean City come alive every fall,” said Matthew Odachowski.

Getting Back to What Riders Want

Over time, BikeFest became known for headliner concerts, but many riders wanted more: more cruising, more stunts, more time with vendors, and more chances to explore Maryland’s Eastern Shore. OC Rock and Ride is delivering.

This year’s rally will feature:

  • Cruzin’ the Coast Passport Ride – scenic group rides across three Maryland counties, from Crisfield to Salisbury, with stops at biker-friendly landmarks like Goose Creek Pit & Pub, the Skipjack Heritage Museum, and Roadie Joe’s.2025 route map cruzin the coast

  • Stunt shows and the Globe of Death – thrilling performances returning after years away.OC-bikefest-Stunts1

  • Vendor Villages – 85+ vendors with free admission to browse. Nonprofits can set up at no charge, ensuring the rally benefits the wider community.

  • Bike shows and prizes – showcasing custom craftsmanship and creativity.

Music, Fireworks, and National Acts

Of course, concerts remain a cornerstone of the rally. Over four days, 23 bands will perform, including rock legends and fan favorites: Queensrÿche, Quiet Riot, Slaughter, Lit, Uncle Kracker, and Jasmine Cain, alongside top regional acts.

Evenings at the Inlet close with fireworks, a heartfelt 9/11 Tribute, and the National Anthem. Expanded seating ensures a better concert experience than in past years.

The Iconic Ocean City Boardwalk Ride

bikes at OC Bikefest 2022

On Saturday, September 13 at 10 AM, the roar of engines will fill the Ocean City Boardwalk as 400 motorcycles cruise from 27th Street to the Inlet. This low-speed parade ride is a signature tradition of Bike Week in Ocean City and remains a highlight of OC Rock & Ride. ($20 cash at lineup, limited to the first 400 riders.)

Community Comes First

Rebranding BikeFest into OC Rock & Ride means more than a name change — it’s a shift in philosophy. Susan Jones of OCHMRA put it best: “For the community, having somebody local as the face behind the event means it’s easier to do business, and the focus is on what’s best for Ocean City and Worcester County.”

By expanding rides and vendor opportunities beyond the Inlet, the event spreads economic impact across Berlin, Snow Hill, Pocomoke, Salisbury, and Crisfield, ensuring the entire region benefits. Guitar auctions and nonprofit partnerships will also raise funds for local causes.

Plan Your Ride to BikeFest’s New Chapter

  • Event: OC Rock & Ride (formerly Ocean City BikeFest)

  • Dates: September 10–14, 2025

  • Locations: Ocean City Inlet & Convention Center, plus regional routes

Tickets now on sale for Art League of Ocean City’s annual “pARTy of the Year”

OCEAN CITY, MD — Aug. 29, 2025 — The Art League of Ocean City announces tickets are now on sale for their annual “pARTy of the Year” to be held on Thursday, Oct. 9, 6-9 p.m. at Kalamata Meze Bar in West Ocean City. The theme of this year’s party is “Aladdin’s World” and is a major fundraiser for the nonprofit Art League.

“Party like a Sultan! Our annual get-together is the best party in town every year, and this year will be even more fun with a new exotic location,” Rina Thaler, executive director of the Art League, said. “Kalamata Meze Bar is the ideal spot for our Mediterranean-themed event that will include belly dancing and live music. This is more than a party.  It’s a night to celebrate the arts, connect with fellow supporters, and make a little magic.”

Guests will dine on modern Mediterranean delicacies, partake from an open bar of potable potions, and indulge in sumptuous Nori sushi, honeyed baklava, delectable desserts, and the famous Candy Kitchen candy bar.  An Aladdin’s cast of characters by the Lower Shore Performing Arts Co. will entertain and delight.

Tickets are $150 per person and benefit the Art League. Space is limited, and reservations are requested by Sept. 30.  Tickets are available at OCart.org/partyoftheyear or by calling the Arts Center at 410-524-9433.

The Art League of Ocean City is a non-profit organization dedicated to artistic expression and appreciation for the creative arts in our community through education, exhibits, scholarship, programs, and community art projects.

OC Orange Crush Trail is Always Free – and NOT an App!

Important Notice: The Orange Crush Trail Is Always Free on OceanCity.com

OC Orange Crush Trail

We’ve recently heard from a customer who thought they signed up for the OC Orange Crush Trail on OceanCity.com but were unexpectedly charged $50 by another website. We want to make it clear:

  • The Orange Crush Trail on OceanCity.com is always 100% FREE.  You download the FREE trail by filling out the order form on our site:  OceanCity.com, and you get coupons at participating locations for a $5 orange crush.
  • You will never be asked for a credit card or payment to join the trail.
  • If you see a charge, it did not come from OceanCity.com.

OC Orange Crush Trail logo
How This Can Happen

Sometimes when people search for “Orange Crush Trail” online, they may click on:

  • Paid ads from unrelated companies.
  • Look-alike websites.
  • Ticketed pub crawls or events in other locations using the “Orange Crush” name.
  • An APP from the Google Play Store or the Apple Store.  THE OC ORANGE CRUSH TRAIL IS NOT AN APP!

These sites may request payment — but they are not affiliated with us. OceanCity.com’s Orange Crush Trail is NOT AN APP.  You just go to the website, OceanCity.com/trails and download the trails you want.  You enter your email, your phone number and nothing else.

We did read a post on Reddit, where somebody downloaded a trail with a free trial from the APP store and was immediately charge $50.  Again, we ARE NOT AN APP.  You don’t get our trails from the APP Store.

How to Stay Safe

To make sure you’re on the official, free trail:

  • Always go directly to OceanCity.com/trails
  • Look for our OceanCity.com branding at the top of the page.

Remember, our trails are fun, rewarding — and always free.  THEY ARE NOT AN APP AND THEREFORE YOU CANNOT GET THEM ON YOUR APP STORE.

Spread the Word

We love that the Orange Crush Trail has become one of Ocean City’s favorite ways to explore bars and restaurants. Please help us spread the word so others don’t get misled: if it asks for payment, it’s not us.

Enjoy the trail, grab your $5 Orange Crushes, and cheers to keeping Ocean City fun while saving some money!

Step Into Adventure at Trapped Escape Rooms in Ocean City, Maryland

If you’re looking for a family-friendly, brain-bending adventure while visiting Ocean City, Maryland, Trapped Escape Rooms is an absolute must. With two convenient locations—Uptown at 11805 Coastal Hwy and Midtown at 8001 Coastal Hwy—Trapped offers seven uniquely themed escape rooms designed to challenge your mind and ignite your imagination.

School of Magic

I recently took on the School of Magic room at the Midtown location with my family, and let me just say—if you’ve ever dreamed of casting spells, solving magical puzzles, and unlocking ancient secrets, this is your moment. As soon as the door closed behind us, the countdown began. We had 60 minutes to uncover clues, crack codes, and escape. The room was fully immersive—filled with enchanted artifacts, glowing runes, and clever puzzles that had both the adults and kids fully engaged. I do have to admit that the ticking timer on the door was a little stressful!

What I appreciated most was how well the game was designed for mixed ages. While some puzzles required critical thinking and teamwork from the grown-ups, there were plenty of elements our 15-year-old could tackle on her own. And yes, even our 17 year old had a blast spotting hidden items. (You know sometimes teenagers are too cool for fun things.)

Themes for Every Interest

Trapped Escape Rooms, Ocean City, Maryland
The Lost Temple has an extra surprise, but we can’t tell!

Trapped Escape Rooms offers something for every interest. If magic isn’t your thing, check out Candy Rush (10/10 challenge level) or the pirate-themed Black Sail’s Lost Treasure—great choices for younger kids. Looking for a little more thrill? Try Poltergeist or Cabin in the Woods—popular picks for teens and adults who love a spooky twist.

Priced Just Right

Trapped Escape Rooms, Ocean City, Maryland
School of Magic would be perfect for wizardry fans!

Each room accommodates a different number of participants (typically 6–10), and yes, entire families can stay together in one room. Tickets are $35 per person, with kids under 13 at a discounted $29. Parking is free, and while the themes stay the same year-round, the experience is unforgettable every time.

Whether you’re planning a birthday outing or just want to try something new on vacation, Trapped Escape Rooms is open year-round—weekends in the winter, and daily during the summer and holidays.

Our magical escape was a hit—we made it out just in time! If you’re ready for a unique, memory-making experience in Ocean City, head to Trapped. Your next great adventure is just one locked door away.

Let’s look at several pictures taken in Ocean City, Maryland over this past week between August 23 and August 29th.

Here’s some pictures of this thirty fifth week of 2025 in Ocean City.

Once Erin passed offshore of Ocean City this past week, we received very nice weather.  However, for much of this past week visitors were not permitted to swim in the ocean due to strong rip currents.  All is fine now!

Sunset Park Party Nights

This past Thursday brought the last of these free concerts for the 2025 summer season.  Over 300 people turned out to see the popular jam band, The Dunehounds close out this event.  This event was sponsored by the Ocean City Development Corporation and the Town of Ocean City.   The OC Recreation Booster volunteers sold beverages at these events with all proceeds going to youth programs in Ocean City.

Photo Friday Contest Winner August 28th 2025

This was the last week of our summer Photo Friday Contest, and what a week it was! For those who were here, the name “Erin” won’t be forgotten anytime soon. But as your photos prove, even when the weather doesn’t cooperate, a day in Ocean City is always better than a day at the office or school.

Despite the rough ocean and swimming restrictions, you all made the most of it. Your amazing photos show you building sandcastles, playing with dump trucks in puddles, and enjoying the Jeeps, local wildlife, sunrises, and sunsets. You captured the true spirit of Ocean City, which is all about playing and having fun with friends and family, no matter the conditions.

Thank you for sharing your memories with us. Our contest may be over for now, but we hope you’ll continue to capture and share your moments in Ocean City.

Here are some of this weeks photos from our Photo Friday contest.

This week’s randomly selected winner of 2 FREE passes to Nick’s Mini Golf is Chalese Jenelle for this great photo of someone with his toes in the sand, just like many of us had to do last week!  Congratulations Chalese!
