Wherever you decide to kick back and relax this Memorial Day Weekend, we know you’ll have an enjoyable holiday weekend here in Ocean City, Maryland.
A powerful storm blew through Ocean City this morning, Friday May 24th, bringing heavy rain and winds. Around 9.30am, the roof of a condo building on 53rd Street blew clean off. The debris landed in the canals behind the building, narrowly missing some small homes which were directly in its path.
Neighbors were seen to be helping with the cleanup which followed.
Ron Croker, owner of Odyssea Watersports, said he was crossing the Rt90 Bridge, headed for Ocean City this morning, when he saw the sky looking very odd. Some of the debris from the roof landed in the canal near Odyssea Watersports, and pieces of insulation could be seen on their parking lot and along 52nd street.
Owner’s of Bayside Boat Rentals have friends who stay in the damaged condo building, and said the place looks destroyed, and it may need to be gutted. Watch Bayside Boat Rental’s marina camera of the storm with microburst when it hit the condo.
By early afternoon, a barge had appeared to help with the clean up.
There have been no reports of injury, but a long clean up is probably ahead for the affected building and its residents.
Here are some photos of the damage shortly after it occurred.

In the resort town of Ocean City, Maryland, a fishing charter has emerged as the clear victor in the prestigious “Best of Ocean City®” contest. The Angler Deep Sea Fishing Boat has proudly claimed the title of “Best Fishing Charter” in 2024, captivating anglers and enthusiasts alike with its rich history, outstanding captain, Chris Mizurak, and his exceptional crew members, Stephen and Rich. Let’s delve into the reasons behind the Angler Deep Sea Fishing Boat’s resounding victory and why it stands out as the top choice for unforgettable fishing experiences.
A Storied History
First Dock Permit goes to the Buntings
The Angler Deep Sea Fishing Boat boasts an illustrious history that spans over several decades. At the turn of the 20th Century, Charles Rollins Bunting, great-great grandfather of the Buntings who currently operate the boat and restaurant, purchased the property at the base of what is now the Route 50 bridge. There was only marsh grass through which Charles Bunting pulled their sailing bateaux and row boats to shore. Charles worked on a fish pound boat and had 5 sons who together started a fishing business. they were issued Ocean City’s first dock permit. They built their dock with wood brought over by boat from the mainland.
William Returns Home & Starts the Restaurant
In the winter of 1934, Charles’ son William decided to leave North Carolina and return home to Ocean City. He bought a house and property that adjoined his dad’s fishing pier. William built a 20′ by 20′ building where he sold fishing bait, refreshments, and rented small boats to visitors and residents. His wife, Louise, started selling pies that became so popular that they decided to open a restaurant.
World War II Calls William and his Boat Away
Captain Bill and his boat, the Angler, joined the Coast Guard and served our country. After the war, he returned home to find his dock washed nearly away. He rebuilt the new dock and addition in 1945. William and Louise’s only son Bill also served in the Coast Guard and decided to return home and join his parents in the business. He had a sport fishing boat, the Sunshine, which he captained during the day and then he and his wife Martha helped with the family business operation.
This family business has been offering fishing charters and great food and drinks ever since. Bill and Martha’s two daughters, Julie and Jayne ran the business after their parents retired and now Bill and Martha’s grandchildren have become integral parts of the operation.
Over the years, the Buntings have consistently provided an exceptional fishing experience, earning a loyal customer base and a reputation for excellence. The Angler’s commitment to preserving Ocean City’s fishing heritage while embracing innovation has undoubtedly contributed to its success.
Captain Chris Mizurak: A True Expert
Captain Chris and mate Stephen aboard the Angler deep sea fishing boat.
At the helm of the Angler Deep Sea Fishing Boat today is the highly skilled and experienced Captain Chris Mizurak. With more than 18 years of fishing expertise, Captain Mizurak’s knowledge of the local waters is unparalleled. His passion for angling and dedication to customer satisfaction sets the Angler apart from other charters. Captain Mizurak’s ability to navigate Ocean City’s diverse fishing grounds ensures that guests have the best chance of reeling in a memorable catch. He is quick to assess a location that is not delivering fish and will call for “lines up” so he can move to another favorite location. He also loves his job and flies his drone over the boat to capture footage of a leatherback turtle or someone pulling in a big flounder. He even filmed a humpback as it played near the boat last year.
Dynamic Duo: The Mates
Rich does everything. He is a mate on the Angler. He took our tickets, got us our rods and reels, taught us how to get the fish off the hooks quickly and easily, and showed us how to use the reels. He and the other mate, Stephen, help get lines untangled and fish on-board throughout the day. Together with the Captain, they made the trip fabulous.
Working alongside Captain Mizurak, the Angler Deep Sea Fishing Boat is fortunate to have two exceptional mates, Stephen and Rich. These capable individuals play a vital role in enhancing the overall fishing experience for guests. With their friendly demeanor, extensive knowledge of fishing techniques, and dedication to customer service, Stephen and Rich provide invaluable assistance to anglers of all skill levels. Their enthusiasm and willingness to share tips and tricks make every trip aboard the Angler an enjoyable and educational experience.
Unmatched Dedication to Catching Fish
One of the primary reasons why the Angler Deep Sea Fishing Boat won the “Best Fishing Charter” award is its commitment to providing unparalleled fishing opportunities. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology and top-notch fishing gear, the Angler ensures that guests have access to the finest equipment available. Most anglers come equipped with their own rods and reels, but the boat provides the squid or clams as bait. Whether targeting black sea bass, flounder, or other offshore species, the head boat offers a diverse range of fishing options to suit every angler’s preferences throughout the productive fishing seasons off the coast of Ocean City, Maryland.
Customer-Centric Approach
Stephen holds a big male black sea bass which has beautiful iridescent blue markings.
The Angler Deep Sea Fishing Boat prides itself on its customer-centric approach. From the moment guests step on board until the last cast is made, the crew goes above and beyond to ensure an unforgettable experience. The friendly staff members are always available to assist with baiting hooks, untangling lines, and providing guidance throughout the trip. This personalized attention, coupled with their extensive knowledge of the local ecosystem, sets the Angler apart from its competitors.
Commitment to Safety and Comfort
The Angler Deep Sea Fishing Boat places a high emphasis on safety and comfort. The vessel is meticulously maintained to meet rigorous safety standards, providing guests with peace of mind throughout their journey. They also have dedicated restrooms for men and woman which adds to the comfort of a 10 hour fishing day. Additionally, the crew adheres to responsible fishing practices, promoting quick release of fish that do not meet DNR requirements.
Unforgettable Experiences:
A successful and memorable day on the Angler deep sea fishing head boat.
When it comes to creating unforgettable fishing experiences, the Angler Deep Sea Fishing Boat goes above and beyond. The charter offers a range of trip options including 6.5 hour, 8 hour and 10 hour trips as well as a 3 hour shorter trip to accommodate diverse schedules and preferences. Whether guests are seasoned anglers or first-time fishermen, the crew’s expertise and enthusiasm ensure that everyone enjoys an exciting and successful fishing adventure.
Customer Testimonials:
These visitors from Rhode Island got off the boat and said that they enjoy a fishing trip on the Angler every year.
The Angler’s outstanding reputation is reinforced by glowing testimonials from satisfied customers. Many have praised the charter for its professional and friendly crew, top-of-the-line equipment, and the thrill of reeling in impressive catches. Guests consistently commend Captain Mizurak, Stephen, and Rich for their exceptional knowledge, patience, and dedication to ensuring a fantastic fishing experience for all. We encountered one father daughter pair from Rhode Island who said that they booked the shorter 3 hour trip every year when they vacation in Ocean City. They got off the boat happy, but with no fish. When I asked why, they said that they had caught a lot of sea bass, but that all were too small to keep. They were already planning to come back next year. Others with whom we spoke during the 8 hour trip told us that they go out with Captain Chris most every week to catch flounder. They said Chris was the best Captain out there, working hard to ensure a good catch for all aboard.
Recognition and Awards:
OceanCity.com’s “Best Fishing Charter” award is just one of many accolades the Angler Deep Sea Fishing Boat has received over the years. The charter’s commitment to excellence has been recognized locally and the continuous stream of positive reviews and repeat customers speaks volumes about the charter’s commitment to delivering exceptional fishing adventures.
Stephen waits to secure the Angler after a successful trip.

The iconic Harrision’s Harbor Watch at the end of the Ocean City, Maryland boardwalk has been awarded not one but two Best of Ocean City® awards this year- The Best Sit Down Restaurant and The Best Raw Bar.
Two Times the Charm
Harrison’s Harbor Watch
It’s extremely special when a restaurant wins a Best Of Ocean City® Award. However, it is an honor when a restaurant is able to claim two of the top awards in one year. And that’s exactly what happened for Harrison’s Harbor Watch. Vacationers and locals alike see the charm in the two story restaurant that overlooks the famous OC Inlet. With a sunset view overlooking Assateague Island, an award winning raw bar with famous oyster stew, and the aesthetics of an old school fishing town, it’s clear that Harrision’s earned it.
From Fruit to Fruition
Harrison’s serves locally caught oysters for
The Harrison Family did not have a background in seafood or fishing like one might think. Patriarch, Joseph Harrison had an idea to begin profiting from peaches back in the late 1800’s. A hobby close to his heart, Joseph started a small business growing and selling peaches in the exact location of Stephen Decatur Middle and High Schools. The family business turned a quick profit and even expanded their business into shrubbery. However after over 70 years in business, proprietor Joseph passed away and the business declined and ultimately closed. But! That’s not where the Harrison story ends.
Fast Forward 100 Years
The uniquely decorated dining area will transport you back to the days of the old fishermen villages at Harrison’s.
In 1984 sons, Hale and John, decided on yet another family business this time focusing on seafood. And not just any seafood. Seafood that was right off the boat, the freshest you could get, day caught seafood! Harrison’s Harbor Watch is perched at the south end of the Ocean City, Maryland boardwalk keeping a close eye on fishermen and their boats as they venture in and out of the inlet. Its two story, wide open ceilings, and fisherman village decor take you back in time.
Best Sit Down Restaurant
A wall length mural of the old fishing villages decorates the upstairs walls.
It’s obvious why Harrison’s won Best of Ocean City Sit Down Restaurant. The view alone is award winning. However the unique style of decor, from the old fishermen hanging lights, and fresh seafood signs are spectacular. And can we talk about the secret wall to wall mural of a fishing boat bringing in fresh seafood to the market?! The remarkably intricately painted painting created by Kathy Denk and Pamela D’Aleo is a must see on the second floor of the restaurant. You can smell the salt air coming from the dock as you take in every tiny stroke of the brush.
Best Raw Bar
Steamed shrimp and oyster stew are cooked right in front of you at the raw bar.
Ok- Let’s talk raw bar. As you walk into the restaurant, to your right you will come across an almost pit like area with a white tiled counter, low seating, and the best view in the house. And no I’m not talking about the inlet. The raw bar is unmatched! As I was there, 15 year veteran bartender, Alex, made not only the freshest steamed shrimp- right in front of me! And that’s not all! She also stirred up some of Harrision’s famous oyster stew- again right in front of me! Harrison’s raw bar has a specially made steaming/cooking system that was created just for the space, which can be tight at times. However with this specifically made pan and steaming system, the oyster stew came out to perfection- like always. “You’ll never be able to make oyster stew like ours because of the set up we have here at the raw bar. Believe me, I’ve tried,” Alex told us. Its unique system has two pots for steaming and one pan for making stew with a self-fanning system that runs all day.
Seafood, Seafood, and More Seafood
Harrison’s was voted best raw bar 2022!
When asked what the staff recommends as far as food- manager Randy comments that “Mr Harrison’s Rockfish is always a top choice.” Blackened rockfish topped with crab imperial alongside a fresh oyster shooter sounds like a delicious meal. Other recommendations were the bacon wrapped scallops and steamed shrimp. And we can’t go to Harrison’s without talking about oysters. When I ordered a top notch oyster shooter, without skipping a beat, hoisted a large what looked like a 40 pound basket of fresh off the boat oysters. She quickly got to work throwing on a thick glove (safety first) and grabbed her shucking knife. And within a minute the salty, briny, spicy concoction loaded with cocktail sauce and hot pepper infused vodka was delivered. Yum.
Fun Facts
Harrison’s Harbor Watch appears in local author Katherine Ruskey’s novel, Marlin Week, based on the White Marlin Open. The restaurant serves as a backdrop where two characters learn of some very exciting news in their lives. Now that’s exciting!
Coast Guard Station
Ask for the coast guard seat and treat yourself to the best table in the house- if you get lucky and it’s available.

Ocean City’s iconic Boardwalk is known for many things, especially its amusements. Beyond the amusements though, some of the best summer memories have to do with the sights, experiences, tastes and smells that make the Ocean City Boardwalk so beloved. Read on for a list of 2024’s “Best of the Boardwalk” winners.
Best Caramel Corn: Fisher’s Popcorn
Fisher’s has been around for over 80 years now, proving that a bucket of caramel popcorn on the Ocean City Boardwalk never goes out of style. The corner store on Talbot Street opened in 1937, and Fisher’s soon gained popularity for their delicious secret caramel recipe. Today they’ve expanded the popcorn flavors to include white cheddar, cinnamon caramel, caramel chocolate drizzle and the old Maryland favorite, Old Bay. They also have vegan, gluten free, and kosher varieties available.
Editor’s Choice: Dolle’s
Dolle’s wins Editorial Best of Ocean City award for best caramel corn on the boardwalk.
Best Boardwalk Shop: the Kite Loft
There are plenty of shops lining the Boardwalk from the Inlet to 27th street, but the Kite Loft has been one of the best for more than 40 years. The Kite Loft is unique for a Boardwalk store, with an inventory of kites and kite accessories, aerial toys, windsocks, yard ornaments and general fun stuff for kids and adults. You’ll know you’re near the 5th Street Kite Loft as soon as you get close to the high-flying kites on the edge of the beach, and if you’re lucky, you might just be in town for one of their International Kite Festivals.
Editor’s Pick: Quiet Storm
Quiet Storm wins Editorial award in the Best of Ocean City Contest for Best Shop on the Boardwalk.
Best Boardwalk Stand/Small Restaurant: The Golden Plate
Sometimes you just don’t have time to sit down and eat when there’s so much fun to be had on the Boardwalk, but you need to refuel and maintain your energy for the rest of the day. That’s where the Golden Plate comes in. They’ve been winning the Best Boardwalk Stand award for years, and their gyros and funnel cakes are the best you’ll find in all of Ocean City.
Editor’s Pick: Cheese Wheel Pasta
Cheese Wheel Pasta wins the Best of Ocean City Editorial Pick for Best Stand/Small Restaurant on the Boardwalk.
Best Sit-Down Restaurant: Harrison’s Harbor Watch
With all the food the Boardwalk has to offer, Harrison’s Harbor Watch offers the best seafood, local produce and fresh raw bar, with the added benefit of a classic, family-friendly atmosphere and gorgeous views of the ocean. You won’t find a sit-down restaurant on the Boardwalk like Harrison’s Harbor Watch.
For decades, the Cork Bar and Grill has been serving up the coldest beer in Ocean City. For over 50 years in fact, they’ve been feeding locals and visitors alike their delicious menu, including great wings, on Wicomico Street, just off the Boardwalk!
Since 1962, Tony’s Pizza has stood on Ocean City’s Boardwalk. There’s something special about enjoying a meal with a view, especially when it’s on the beach. Relish the fresh sea breeze while dining al fresco on their rooftop deck! Savor their freshly made Ocean City pizza, alongside an array of sandwiches, subs, and authentic Italian dishes.
Editor’s Choice: Franco’s Pizza
Franco’s Pizza wins the 2024 Best of Ocean City award for Best pizza on the boardwalk.
Best Boardwalk Candy: Candy Kitchen
You don’t have to be on the Boardwalk to grab a sweet treat from Candy Kitchen, but it’s definitely a Boardwalk tradition. Find whatever kind of candy your heart desires, or satisfy your chocolate cravings with a block of delicious fudge–just have a cooler on hand so it doesn’t melt!
Dolle’s wins Editorial Best of Ocean City award for best candy on the boardwalk.
Best Fries: Thrasher’s Fries
What can we say? Every year Thrasher’s wins Best Boardwalk Fries, and if you don’t believe it, check out the line that’s always there. Other French fries are available, but can they ever beat Thrasher’s? That’s up to you!

It’s no secret that Shenanigans has it all! Excellent music, delicious Irish food, and a sit down view of the infamous boardwalk. And for these reasons, Shenanigans has been voted Best of Ocean City® editorial pick for Best Boardwalk Bar!
A beer, good food, and a view!
Irish Food with a Flare
Before Shenanigans even opened, a Irish bar called McGee’s sat in the exact location. Owner Greg Shockley decided to take that same Irish flare, change the name to Shenanigans, and put a much larger emphasis on upping their food game. With a tasty Irish menu, Shenanigans offers Sheppard’s Pie, Bangers and Mash, and Fish and Chips. They’ve definitely made a big name for themselves in the Irish cuisine in Ocean City.
Popular Irish Dishes
If you’re planning on dining at Shenanigans any time soon, here are some things that we recommend. For an appetizer, we highly recommend the most popular pizza French fries! Chefs spread a large portion of waffle fries with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. If you’re looking for a Shenanigans sandwich, also known as a “shenanwich,” a juicy burger and a tangy reuben hot off the grill goes great with non other than a thick Irish Guiness. A proper sit down dinner on the boardwalk is a delight when you have a view like Shenanigans. Treat yourself to a classic dish. Fish and chips are extremely popular. But the utmost popular sit down dinner dish would have to be their Sheppard’s Pie. A hot mixture of veggies and beef, topped off with a healthy serving of mashed potatoes.
Music for Every Day of the Week
While Saint Patrick’s Day in March is always the most popular day to come and have a drink or two…or three, Shenanigans has great entertainment all summer long! Between the months of July and August, beach goers have great entertainment options. Sunday and Monday nights offer live dueling pianos! Every Wednesday, people are treated to accoustic solo acts up on stage. And on Thursdays- Saturdays, Shenanigans offers a mixture of authentic Irish bands and music. During May, June, September, and October, live music is played on the weekends. It’s the perfect time to walk the boardwalk and stop in for a nice meal and live music.
Over the years several bands have played at Shenanigans. The Geals, Malone and Hutch, O’Malley’s March, and The Rovers/ Dublin 5 just to name a few. The current house band is James Gallagher and Off the Boat.
St. Patty’s Day Celebrations
A true family friendly event with someone for everyone!
If you’re not familiar with the St. Patty’s Day “shenanigans” and celebrations here on Ocean City’s boardwalk, buckle up! Shenanigans opens at the crack of dawn serving up Irish coffees and Guiness, but they also have an incredible Ocean City tradition. Shenanigans has partnered with OC Tri Running to host the St. Patrick’s Day 5K! It’s an exciting event that has become not only a tradition but something for the entire family. The start line and the finish line begin just in front of the restaurant on the boardwalk. With a round about set course, runners (and walkers) enjoy the celebration donning their green wigs, shamrocks, and Irish flags. It’s quite the sight and we highly encourage the participation!
Sunday Worship at Shenanigans
In addition to a big celebration for Saint Patrick’s Day, Shenanigans also offers the opportunity for worship on Sunday mornings on their outside patio. Atlantic Methodist Church approached Shockley, the owner, and without skipping a beat, services began. Church services begin every Sunday at 8:30 am on the outside patio right on the boardwalk. No need to dress formally. Many boardwalk walkers like to stop by casually and partake in the message and sing along to the beautiful music.
What Makes Shenanigans the Best?
Owner, Greg Shockley told OceanCity.com that he’s been extremely fortunate here on 4th street. With dedicated employees, he always know that all diners will have the ultimate sit down dinner experience. Some of his employees have worked for over 20 years. One has been there between 32-34 years!
Their large portions and consistent service makes them a tradition for families of beach goers and vacationers. And their prime real estate on the boardwalk offers incredible views of the beach as well. Another wonderful aspect is the variety that Shenanigans offers the boardwalk. Shenanigans is the only Irish fare restaurant on the boardwalk, making is unique and special for boardwalk goers.
Shenanigans- The Best Of Ocean City!
Shenanigans winning Best of Ocean City Best Boardwalk Bar definitely lives up to the award. If you’re on the boardwalk any time soon, treat yourself to come classic Irish drinks and fare, and the best bar experience on the Boardwalk.

Yesterday, Spain Wine Bar held an invitation-only ribbon cutting ceremony to open their newly renovated indoor/outdoor dining space. Invitees, which included Mayor Rick Meehan, member of the Ocean City Chamber of Commerce, local business owners, local authors, and various Ocean City based social media personalities were treated to the red carpet treatment, literally!
Spain Wine Bar Offers Red Carpet Treatment
Spain Wine Bar offers red carpet treatment to open their outdoor dining space.Twinkling wisteria make for a great center piece of the room at Spain.
Guests were greeted at the entrance of the outdoor space with an actual red carpet adored with beautiful flowers and twinkle lights. Floating across the red carpet, guests had the spectacular view of West Ocean City and the Route 50 bridge along with the new modern look of the the impeccable, Spain Wine Bar.
A Modern Look from Spain
Spain offers a fine dining experience.
Tables held neatly set place settings, surrounded by beautifully arranged eclectic artwork. The artwork gave the space a modern and elegant vibe. But the show stopping centerpiece of the room was by far the center pavilion dripping with white wisteria. Draped with soft beige curtains, the center of the room looked more fairytale-like than anything else. Opposite the room, a funky low spaced sitting area. A bamboo sofa amidst palm fronds sat near the rustic coffee table, which resembled a sofra, a low table where some tapas style restaurants still use. To add to comfort, large patterned pillows were decoratively strewn around the sofra. And the look didn’t stop there. The new slotted ceiling is equipped with some of the most advanced technology. With the option to open the roof to allow for sunshine and blue sky to peek through, there’s also a sensor that can detect rain and close automatically.
Tapas, Tapas, Tapas
Chocolate drizzled churros on a wooden platter for dessert.Spain serves up exquisite tapas style pairings.
Throughout the entire event, seasoned waitstaff walked around and offered a variety of tapas style appetizers. Spicy shrimp with a delicious aioli sauce and a manchego cheese tasting was among the food. However the crowd favorite was the bacon wrapped dates which were paired with a bleu cheese mousse and honey truffle. Visitors could not get enough. The dessert menu was not to be forgotten. Freshly made churros came out on long wooden platters drizzled in warm chocolate sauce.
Paired to Perfection: Wine with a View
Wine with a view of the 50 Bridge and West Ocean City.
Long time waitstaff member, Nina, tended the bar towards the back of the space. As glasses of El Coto Blanco and Optum Crianza (which means oak aged wine) were poured and sipped, guests mingled and enjoyed the breathtaking view. With wall to wall windows, Spain Wine Bar offers one of the top restaurant views in Ocean City.
Cutting of the Ribbon at Spain Wine Bar
Owner of Spain Wine Bar, Peter Elias, and Mayor Rick Meehan cut the ribbon to commemorate the new dining space.
Mayor Rick Meehan began the ribbon cutting ceremony under the twinkling lights of the wisteria. Praise and congratulations were given to owner, Peter Elias, who came into the Ocean City scene a few years ago. Wanting to provide a rich dining experience, Elias thanked the Ocean City community for welcoming him and Spain Wine Bar. In speaking with Mayor Rick Meehan, we asked about the impact Elias has made on the Ocean City restaurant scene. The Mayor said pointing to the route 50 bridge, “Look at all of the people coming into Ocean City. They’re all coming here. They’ve heard about this space and they can’t wait to get here to experience the food.”
Fashion and Fine Dining
@DowntownDiane @kruskeyauthor @dodonvineyards enjoy the evening and great wine
As the night continued, diners were treated to a small and stylish fashion show along the red carpet as they enjoyed a night on the town. Styles of local boutique, Ish, were showcased on the carpet as restaurant goers dined on tapas of lamb meatballs, chicken lollipops, and paella.
What To Look Forward To
Mayor Rick Meehan and Mike Pianowski at Spain Wine Bar’s newest dining space.
Peter Elias isn’t finished here in Ocean City. He plans on opening other restaurants in the area. Elias will be taking over the former Whiskers in Ocean Pines with plans for a Lebanese restaurant. In addition to that, plans for a fine dining restaurant at the former Cowboy Coast in mid town are in the works.

If you’re looking for the best Asian food in Ocean City, then look no further. The voters at The Best of Ocean City® have spoken and it’s Blue Fish that takes that position for 2024.
Nearly New
A gorgeous outside patio to relax and enjoy your meal.
Blue Fish Restaurant is located in the shopping center at 94th street and the bayside. The quaint building decked out in various shades of blue, an ode to it’s name, one of a kind rice and noodle dishes along with head turning sushi platters. Blue Fish opened in 2010 and took Ocean City by storm as vacationers ‘go to’ Asian bistro.
Delicious Drinks
A nice refreshing Ocean City orange crush.
To start your meal, thai iced tea is recommended. It’s a mixture of half sweetened thai iced tea and half and half. The movement of the two drinks swirled into a tall glass is mesmerizing. Another popular drink at Blue Fish is the signature Lychee Lemonade. It’s a butterfly pea flower infused syrup, lemon juice, and club soda. It’s beautifully garnished with a lemon and whole peeled lychees giving it a tropical look. It was probably the best tasting lemonade I’ve had at a sit down restaurant. And we definitely can’t forget a local favorite, the orange crush!
Sushi Spectacular
A beautifully decorated California Roll and Lobster Roll.
In addition to the sit down restaurant part, Blue Fish has a whole other section for their sushi bar. Stocked with tuna, salmon, and other white fish, I’ve never seen more gorgeous looking sushi being served. The fan favorite seemed to be the mega lobster roll! A whole lobster tail, tempura fried asparagus, mango, cucumber, masago, spicy mayo, sweetened soy sauce, and mango sauce all delicately placed on the plate was a piece of artwork.
Employee Recommendations
Lychee Lemonade, Thai Iced Tea, and A Rainbow Roll
“The most popular dish we serve would have to be General Tso’s Chicken.” The employees all laugh. When I posed the question, everyone responded simultaneously. But other dishes that are not to be overlooked are any of the Thai Chicken Dishes. And if you’re looking for a local favorite sushi roll, the rainbow roll was also highly recommended with an assortment of raw white fish, avocado, cucumber, kani, and aioli sauce.
Dining in elegance at Blue Fish OCMD
A lovely decorated dining area to enjoy.A stylish bar to enjoy an orange crush or lychee lemonade.A stunning mural shown on the outside of Blue Fish.
Winning The Best of Ocean City® Asian is a huge triumph, it’s clear that Blue Fish whole heartedly deserved the accolades.
