Valentine’s Day
There’s more to Valentine’s Day in Ocean City than the opportunity for a weekend getaway, although that is more than enough reason to plan to come. Valentine’s Day in Ocean City is kind of like the day pitchers and catchers report for baseball. The season hasn’t started yet, but enough people are getting ready that there’s reason to be excited.
Valentine’s Day – What’s open?
Many Ocean City restaurants are open year round, but some are open 10 or 11 months of the year. They close sometime in December and re-open in time for Valentine’s Day as a way to hit the ground running for the “official” beginning of spring on St. Patrick’s Day. Besides restaurants putting on their best faces, the hotels always have remarkably inexpensive deals this time of the year. Many if not most offer Valentine’s Weekend packages that front load the romantic experience to present visitors with the opportunity to make it a really special occasion.
Start the weekend with a great hotel deal and go from there. You can choose to have an Ocean City adventure and make your way to one of the great local restaurants, or you can simply take advantage of any of the hotels’ Valentine’s Day getaway packages.
More than just a weekend
In addition to Valentine’s Day celebrations, February on the Shore is Craft Beer Lover’s Month. Proclaimed “FeBREWary” by the state of Maryland, the second month of the year is a fantastic time to come to the shore and explore the World Class Beer and World Class Beauty it has to offer. If you’re not going to be in town for Feb. 14th proper, consider visiting for Love on Tap! The Shore Craft Beer festival that increasingly is becoming an Eastern Shore Tradition.
