Reach the Beach in Ocean City MD 2019
Every year, cheerleaders from all over the country flock to Ocean City’s Roland E. Powell Convention Center for ACDA’s annual Reach the Beach competition. Participants compete in various categories over different days including dance, rec/school, all star prep and all star college.

A fun, high-spirited, national competition
According to ACDA Spirit’s website, Reach the Beach is all about taking in the surfside atmosphere while competing in the high-spirited cheerleading and dance comps.
Soak up the sun at 1 of our 5 Reach the Beach events. Experience the beach themed atmosphere all cheerleaders love. Beach music, surfboards, beach balls and much more. All Reach the Beach cheer events are U.S. Finals Qualifiers and have the opportunity to win a paid U.S. Finals Bid. Reach the Beach Ocean City All Star and College will be awarding 3 Paid Bids and 6 At Large Bids to the Cheerleading Worlds and Reach The Beach Dance will be awarding 2 Partial Paid, 4 At-Large Bids to the Dance Worlds.
The backdrop of Ocean City, Maryland is part of what makes Reach the Beach such a great time. Just ask the participants, who have given the competition an overall rating of 4.8 on Facebook.
It was a [great] competition. It was a very smooth running competition! ! And it was a beautiful place to stay!!!
We had a ball. Event was well planned and girls were showcased brilliantly.
We have been attending this competition for many years…and my cheerleaders and their families always look forward to this…it’s a way to finalize the year for us…we are not a competitive squad…we cheer for all sports through out the year and this is a way we can shine for ourselves….we have a huge following from past cheerleaders and future….we also get a few of our football team to come and support…everyone should look into this competition…very well organized and the staff goes above and beyond…thx for all the memories and we look forward to see you again….
Come for the competition, stay for the destination
Hopefully if you’re in town for Reach the Beach, you’ll be able to dedicate at least a small portion of your time in Ocean City to exploring all the surf, sand and general fun that our resort town has to offer. Even in the chillier months when the competitions generally take place, there’s loads to do here, from eating out at unique and widely varying restaurants to perusing some of the seasonal activities that are absolutely f r e e.
