Enter the 2026 Best of Ocean City® Photo Contest for your chance to have your photograph featured as the official background image on all Best of Ocean City® awards — the most recognized local awards program in Ocean City, Maryland.
Submissions are open May 8 – June 7, 2026.
2026 Contest Timeline
Submissions Open: May 8 – June 7, 2026
- Submit your best Ocean City photo before Round 1 closes at midnight on June 7. The top 20 photos will be selected and loaded for public voting on June 8.
Round 1 Voting: June 8 – June 14, 2026
- The public votes for their favorites. Voting closes at midnight on June 14.
Finals: June 15 – June 20, 2026
- The top 5 finalist photos move to a final public vote. Voting closes at midnight on June 20.
Winner Announced: June 22, 2026
- The winning photographer is revealed — and YOUR image becomes the official background of the 2026 Best of Ocean City® awards.
Contest Rules
- Location requirement. All photos must be taken in Ocean City, Maryland. Photos taken outside of Ocean City will not be eligible.
- Resolution requirement. Submit high-resolution images suitable for printing at 18″ × 18″. Low-resolution images may be disqualified or finalists may be contacted to provide a high-resolution version of their submission
- Usage rights. By submitting a photo, contestants irrevocably assign ownership of their submitted image to OceanCity.com, which reserves the right to use submissions on the website and for any marketing purposes without further compensation or notice.
- Subject matter. Photos may depict any subject that authentically represents Ocean City, Maryland — beaches, boardwalk, food, events, sunrises, sunsets, wildlife, local life, and more.
- The prize. The winning image will be honored as the official background photograph for the 2026 Best of Ocean City® awards — seen by thousands of Ocean City visitors, businesses, and locals throughout the year.
