53rd Annual White Marlin Open

The White Marlin Open is the world's largest billfishing tournament, based at Harbour Island Marina in Ocean City. Boats compete across white marlin, blue marlin, tuna, shark, and wahoo categories over a six-day window (each boat fishes any 3 of the 6 days) for multimillion-dollar payouts. The 2026 tournament runs August 3–8.

Watching the weigh-ins

Daily weigh-ins are free and open to the public, typically running from the afternoon into the evening at Harbour Island Marina (exact posted times vary by day).

Entry & Purse

Entry fee: $1,500/boat by June 1 ($1,800 after). 45+ optional added-entry levels from $500 up to $10,000. Guaranteed minimum $50,000 purse — total payouts have reached multiple millions.
