And a Valentine's Day weekend in Ocean City, Maryland is the most romantic getaway where you can be alone - and enjoy the deserted beaches, boardwalk, sunrises on the beach and sunsets on Assateague! It's been a really hard year and it's not time to stop being COVID careful, but it is time to take a break; get away; take long walks on the beach; order some fabulous wine or beer to go; pick up a romantic dinner and take it back to your hotel room; watch the winter diving ducks and loons swim in the inlet; hold hands; bicycle up the famous Ocean City boardwalk and stop for coffee on the way up and an Irish coffee on the way back; take a nap with your door open so you can hear the crashing waves of the Atlantic. Remember that someone that brightens your life. Your love is meant to be cherished. We all should think of ways to show our love and appreciation. Whisk them away to Ocean City and spend time together. Yes, I know --- some skeptics think this is a Hallmark Holiday. So what if it is? We all spend too much time taking each other for granted and going through life in a routine. Even if Hallmark charges too much for folded card stock, you should thank them.
