"Game On!" White Marlin Open Day 1 Begins with Just 17 Boats Battling the Weather
The 53rd Annual White Marlin Open is underway in Ocean City, but rough seas kept most of the 334-boat fleet at the dock on Day 1. Just 17 boats battled the weather, with Full Service taking the early lead after weighing an 84-pound tuna at Harbour Island. Fans also welcomed back the WMO commentary team and Katie Sawyer, who announced during the off season that she is expecting but wouldn’t miss another exciting tournament week.
