  1. Name:  Mike Bievenour

  2. Business Name:  Seacrets Cruises

  3. How many years have you been a captain?  Five years

  4. When did you know you wanted to become a captain?  When I was getting ready to retire from Public Education.  Wanted to semi retire doing what I enjoy being on the water!

  5. What is your favorite part about being a captain?  Spending the day on the water meeting new people as well as experiencing the Sunsets of summer!

  6. What's the most memorable experience you've had out on the water?  Generally speaking it's memorable when various groups and people interact on the cruise to enjoy their experience on the water. They start out as strangers and leave as friends!

  7. What do you hope guests take away from a trip with you?  Just meeting their expectations of why they chose to book the cruise, be it a relaxing boat ride, a nice sunset, or a great party! We do it all!

  8. What is one thing visitors are always surprised to learn about Ocean City or the surrounding waters?  That the back bay has dolphins!

  9. When you're not on the water, how do you spend the off-season or unwind? Spend off season fishing when I can.  Teaching courses in Backpacking and Wilderness First Aid at Salisbury University.  Working for Chesapeake Housing Mission,  Project Managing Volunteer Groups building wheelchair ramps for those in need of one in the Lower Eastern Shore of MD.

  10. Just for fun: If you could take anyone (past or present) out on your boat for a day, who would it be and why? I would say my parents, since they know how much I hated water  when I was growing up lol.

Thanks for sharing, Captain! We look forward to seeing you out and about on Seacrets Cruises!
