October 4, 2016 the Worcester County Commissioners join with Fire Marshal Jeff McMahon and Deputy Fire Marshal Matt Owens to recognize National Fire Prevention Week,October 9-15, 2016, and to support the initiatives of the National Fire Prevention Month theme Don’t Wait - Check the Date! Replace Smoke Alarms Every 10 Years. According to the National Fire Protection Association, homeowners should replace smoke alarms every 10 years.
