The 15th annual Wine Fest heads to Ocean City! Wine Fest will feature East Coast wineries, breweries, arts, crafts, and live entertainment in Ocean City right next to the inlet. Wine Fest will run from Friday, October 1st from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. to Saturday, October 2nd from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Have fun strolling through the festival with a glass of wine in hand! Endless wine offerings will be available for sampling while several arts and craft vendors and cuisine experts show off their items and delicacies. Many breweries will have booths set up so you can purchase local micro-brewed beer.
Maryland wine-makers coming to Wine Fest include: Frederick Wine Cellar, Dove Valley Winery, Fiore Winery, Solomons Island Winery, Terrapin Station Winery, Linganore Wine cellars, Boordy Vineyards, and the St. Michaels Winery. Breweries at the festival include Old Dominion and Goose Island. Wine related vendors like, Senior Cigars, Herman Cutting Boards, Rhinestone Wine T-Shirts, Amused Studios, Pecan Yummies, and many others will be at festival, also.
Advanced tickets many be purchased at the Ocean City Convention Center. During the days of the Wine Fest, general admission is $24 at the gate. A valid form of photo identification is required. Your entrance tickets is good for one-day admission, a complimentary Wine Fest tasting glass, and wine tasting sample coupons. If you’re not planning on drinking, ask for unlimited soft drinks from the designated driver location at the fest. Under 21? $5 will get you through the gate with a parent. Children under 7 will be admitted for free when accommodated by a parent.
Popular local musicians, like Bird Dog and the Road Kings, will provide entertainment during the festival. It is suggested that you bring a lawn chair or a blanket if you plan to watch the live entertainment. Chat with your friends, try lots of wine, and enjoy yourself at the 2010 Wine Fest!
