Wild and Scenic film festival @ Seacrets Thursday night

If you are in Ocean City this week, you may notice a couple of changes as you drive down Coastal Highway. The speed limit, normally 40 mph through North Ocean City, has been reduced to 30 mph, and Downtown, the speed limit has also been reduced. This is due to the expected, unauthorized H2Oi Pop-Up Rally.  It is reasonable to expect heavier than usual traffic, noise and strict enforcement of vehicle laws during the week and weekend.

For nine years the Wild and Scenic film festival is centered on raising awareness of environmental concerns and the majestic beauty of our own planet. A touring exhibit of those films will be at Seacrets Thursday night.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door, but kids 12 and under are free. Rolled into the ticket price is a membership in the Assateague Coastal Trust – a nonprofit committed to protecting the Atlantic Coastal Bays watershed. Seacrets is pitching in by offering half-priced appetizers beginning at 4 and half-priced dinners starting at 5.
The opening reception begins at 5 for attendees in the Morley Hall so get in early to take advantage of both the dinner specials and the opening reception. The films begin at 6.
