Wearin’ of the Green!

If you are in Ocean City this week, you may notice a couple of changes as you drive down Coastal Highway. The speed limit, normally 40 mph through North Ocean City, has been reduced to 30 mph, and Downtown, the speed limit has also been reduced. This is due to the expected, unauthorized H2Oi Pop-Up Rally.  It is reasonable to expect heavier than usual traffic, noise and strict enforcement of vehicle laws during the week and weekend.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival – 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

60th St. south to 45th St. — This is the 30th year Ocean City will celebrate St. Patricks Day with the 2nd largest parade in Maryland. Floats galore and local Marching Bands wil be participating as well as  The Delmarva Irish American Society and Ancient Order of Hibernians. Fire companies will be driving along the parade route as well as marching U.S. Military Outfits. The parade ends at 45th St. Village where the party continues with Guinness on tap, corned beef sandwiches and Delicious Irish Stew. Musical entertainment will be provided by James Gallagher and Off the Boat. Then it’s on to Shenanigans on the boarwalk at 4th street where the party goes on and on. Hope to see you there. Oblige me here in my attempt at Irish humor.–Two Irishmen walk out of a bar…Hey, it could happen.  Slainte’
