Things To Do Week of March 28th – Easter Happenings and more!

Easter is usually a nice indicator that Spring is well underway (that remains a point of contention this year). Easter also happens to be one of the most hallowed events on the calendar and is a time for reverence, remembrance, friends and family. So regardless of the weather, get ready to break the pastel colors out, find some chocolate eggs, and celebrate the holiday with those who are close to you. To make planning your gathering a little easier, here is the Easter weekend guide for things to do in Ocean City.

Ocean City Events

There will be two events running concurrently at the Ocean City Convention Center this weekend. The 14th annual OC Easter Kids’ Fair and the Easter Arts & Crafts Fair runs from 10am to 5pm on Friday and Saturday. The Kids’ Fair will have continuous events, activities, and entertainment which include: Beany the Easter Bunny, egg hunts, coloring tables, door prizes, games, contests and several kid focused shows. Additional entertainment on a “pay-as-you-go” basis such as sand art, face painting, photos with the Easter bunny and more. The Arts & Crafts Fair will feature  exhibitors displaying unique handcrafted items, including wearable art, jewelry, lawn and garden decor, toys, florals, fine art, caricatures and more. Admission costs $4 for adults, $3 for seniors and students and free to children 3 and younger and military. Admission for either event covers admission for the other event. For those of you still hanging onto those New Year’s Day fitness resolutions there will be a 5K/10K walk/run on Saturday. The BUNNYPALOOZA! 5K/10K will be taking place in Bethany Beach, DE. -right on Coastal Hwy. a few miles north of OC-  Runners, local businesses, spectators, entertainers and volunteers join forces to raise funds for the Quiet Resorts Charitable Foundation. The race begins at 8am at the Garfield Parkway and Atlantic Avenue intersection, in downtown Bethany. The race finishes at the Bethany Beach Boardwalk Bandstand. Ocean City Nightlife

Even with all of the faith based and Spring celebrations going on this weekend Ocean City bars & restaurants still have plenty of entertainment to keep you going after all the Easter eggs have been hunted. Here are a few of the best places continue your evening:

-19TH Hole Bar & Grill (9636 Stephen Decatur Highway, West Ocean City)  features Johnny Mojo on Friday from 6-10pm and Louis Wright on Saturday from 6-10pm.

-BJ’s On The Water on Friday has 2 Guys & A Mama beginning at 9pm and on Saturday Ginger takes to the stage at 9pm as well.

-Seacrets has their usual assortment of live music this weekend. Blue Label is the feature on Friday from 10pm-2am. On Saturday there will be three big acts: The John McNutt Band has the early shift in Morley Hall playing from 5-9pm followed by Lifespeed taking over the stage at 10pm. Element K handles the outside jamming starting at 9pm.

-The Ocean Club Night Club in the Clarion Ocean City Hotel has Power Play holding things down on Friday and Saturday, beginning at 9pm both nights.

HORSEBACK RIDING ON THE BEACH — Ocean City now offers horseback riding on the beach from 27th Street extending south to the Inlet jetty between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m., Nov. 1 through March 30.
