Things To Do Week of April 19th

They say April showers bring May flowers and this weekend appears to have some of those April showers in the OC forecast. There is still good news as there are plenty of fun and interesting things to do in Ocean City. Here is a sample of some of the most interesting things going on this weekend in the OC area.

Ocean City Events

This week you don’t have to wait until the next episode of  The Voice to get your musical fix. The Ocean City Convention Center is proud to host the 2013 Sweet Adeline International chorus and quartet vocal competition for Region 19.  Sweet Adelines International (SAI) is an international organization committed to advancing musical art for women through education, competition and performance. This independent, nonprofit music education association is one of the largest singing organizations in the world. Sweet Adelines choruses and quartets sing exciting a cappella, four-part harmony music, barbershop style. There will be more than 50 vocal groups competing in this weekend’s regionals with winners being chosen right at the event. Admission is $25 for each show -one show on Friday & Saturday- and there will be an afterparty at the Princess Royale following the show. Also going on at the OC Convention Center this weekend is a Gemstone, Mineral, and Jewelry Show. The Show runs on Friday and Saturday from noon to 6pm and on Sunday from 11am-4pm. The show will feature: 14k gold and sterling silver jewelry, pearls, beads, loose stones, crystals and pieces for every taste. Classical and modern contemporary designs will also be on display for show and sale.
