Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Fager’s Island brings you seven great bands to dance, eat, socialize, and sing along to. First, Taste is up first on Friday at 10 p.m. Kevin Poole rocks on deck at 5 p.m. Last on Friday–DJ Hook–jams at 9 p.m. on deck. On Saturday, Scotts New Band hammers out classic 80s tunes and hits from today. Seacrets once again offers a fusion of live music and a fun atmosphere this week. This Friday, enjoy three talented, diverse acts: Lucky You, Opposite Directions, and Zion Reggae Band. Lucky You, a band composed of five upbeat and party-minded men, performs at 10 p.m. Opposite Directions–two acoustic rock guys–play at 5 p.m. Finally, check out Zion Reggae Band at 9 p.m. On Saturday, The Bender, Full Circle, and Second Majesty visit the stage at Seacrets. The Benderz, a five piece cover band, plays at 10 p.m. Full Circle sings to you at 5 p.m. Second Majesty comes to the stage at 9 p.m., doling out rock jams. Need more information? Have a motorcycle? Want one? Ocean City hosts 2nd Annual Bikes to Beach Spring Rally Thursday, April 26 through Sunday, April 29. This event features tons of participating Ocean City, Maryland hotels, restaurants, and nightclubs to accommodate your weekend filled with bikes. The Ward World Championship Wildfowl Carving Competition and Art Festival is very fitting for Eastern Shore inhabitants. Ocean City hosts this competition and festival at the OC Convention Center, right off Coastal Highway. Come see carvers from around the globe compete to make something beautiful out of something organic. This event is good for kids too, thanks to the activities and art to peruse over. Admission is $18 for a multi-day pass, $10 for one day (adults) and $8 for seniors and students (one day). Kids under 12 carry no admission charge. Board Walkin’ for Pets, a walk-a-thon for the Worcester County Humane Society, takes place on Saturday, April 28. Walk the boardwalk with your pet and family to show support for the no-kill pet shelter around Ocean City. If you’re really in the spirit of philanthropy, adopt a pet from the shelter and bring it to the event! All proceeds from registration go to the WCHS. What better way to enjoy the warm weather than to take the family to kite fest? This year marks the 18th Annual Maryland International Kite Expo. Kids and parents alike can watch colorful kites fly and even purchase one or two for home. This very spring-like event takes place between 4th and 5th Streets on the boardwalk. The colored fun is open April 27-29.
