Are you planning to visit Ocean City on or before the upcoming holidays? There are still things to do here at the beach even though sunbathing seems to be out of the question.
On Wednesday, December 21st, there will be a free concert featuring Ocean City local and country singer Jimmy Charles. The concert will be held at the Ocean Pines Yacht Club where they will also be collecting new, unwrapped toys for Toys For Tots. The concert will be from 6pm to 10pm and is sure to be a good time.
Don’t forget the spectacular Winterfest of Lights display will continue each day until the 1st of the year as well. Winterfest opens each day at 5:30pm at Northside Park on 127th Street bayside in Ocean City.

Start off the new year by taking a plunge into the chilly Atlantic Ocean. Doing so, you will be one of many “penguins” taking a dip to raise money for Atlantic General Hospital. This Penguin Swim will take place on New Year’s day starting at 1pm. For more information, read the full article on the Penguin Swim.
Also on New Year’s day, the Mayor and City Council invite you to the City Hall Open House. The open house will be held from 1pm to 3pm. There you will be able to take a tour of the beautifully decorated City Hall. There will be themed exhibits and displays with this year’s focus on the Art League of Ocean City. If you are interested in Ocean City history, you will also enjoy the history panels on display throughout the halls as well. The City Hall is located at 301 Baltimore Avenue in downtown Ocean City.
Whatever your plans may be for the upcoming week or so through the holidays, OceanCity.com would like to wish you a safe and happy holiday!
