Louise Gulyas passes away
Although the news wasn’t good, the response has been inspiring. All over town as well as online, people are making tributes to Ms. Gulyas as much for her personal fortitude as for her decades of civic service, including her time as a commissioner.
Gulyas was Worcester County Commissioner for 16 years.

Business
Although the promotion is over, the attitude is what is worth taking note of. The Main Street Merchants in Berlin are always cooking up extra reasons to come to downtown Berlin. Making the trip worthwhile has been what has helped make Berlin such an important economic engine in the region, especially given its size.
It’s always worth visiting the Town of Berlin Maryland, but for the next couple days it’ll be worth-it-er.

Retiring to the beach is something that lots of people plan. This couple was in town recently to celebrate the fact that they finally had made the plunge. But it’s the attitdue more than the accomplishment that is particularly worth noting.
Happy anniversary in advance to a couple who recently moved to the beach from the western Shore. On Jan. 26 they each will celebrate their birthday as well as their 26th wedding anniversary.
