Well, the Holiday Lights are stored until next year, it’s still winter, but I just can’t sit still and wait for Spring to return life to Ocean City. What better time to get out and enjoy the pleasures of the off-season. You can walk the boards round trip and occasionally see someone else who will give you the nod that says “Don’t you love this.” At night a bit of mystery is added to your sojourn as you hear the waves lapping the shore and the evening mist traps the street lights in tight white circles. Come near, come far, but enjoy the solitude while you can. Summer will be here before you know it and the fun increases a thousandfold.
If you are in Ocean City this week, you may notice a couple of changes as you drive down Coastal Highway. The speed limit, normally 40 mph through North Ocean City, has been reduced to 30 mph, and Downtown, the speed limit has also been reduced. This is due to the expected, unauthorized H2Oi Pop-Up Rally. It is reasonable to expect heavier than usual traffic, noise and strict enforcement of vehicle laws during the week and weekend.
