Who’s hungry? Starting June 5th, restaurants throughout Ocean City will be offering 3 course menus for $30 or 2 course menus for $20. Here are a list of some of the restaurants participating and what they have to offer:
Captain’s Table– The first course you can choose from a caprese salad, BBQ bacon wrapped shrimp, or mushrooms stuffed with jumbo lump crab imperial. You may choose from a charbroiled pork chop served with a cherry red wine demi gloss, a soft crab entree served over a bed of fresh greens and topped with an aioli, or a pan seared salmon filet topped with a tarragon cream sauce. For dessert you have the options of fresh strawberry shortcake, a warm chocolate brownie a la mode, or a Carnegie Deli cheesecake with a raspberry sauce.
Fager’s Island– You have a choice between a fresh garden salad, a classic Caesar salad, an award-winning crab and vegetable Gazpacho, or one of three special appetizers to start. For the main entree you may choose from Tenderloin Tips over sweet mashed potatoes with vegetables, the local fresh fish with a starch and vegetable, pan seared salmon with sweet mashed potatoes, grilled organic chicken with vodka fettuccini, organic chicken Asian curry style with Thai basmati rice and snow peas, roasted duckling with orange sauce, sweet mashed potatoes and a vegetable, or risotto with mixed vegetables, Romano cheese and fresh basil. For dessert there will be a chef’s choice pastry.
Horizons Oceanfront Restaurant- You have the choice between the cold peach soup with rum, apple and mango sour cream or the spinach and lentil consommé with shaved parmesan cheese. For the salads you may choose from a grilled onion salad with yellow tomato compote, baby spinach topped with an apple wood smoked bacon vinaigrette. The entrees offered include a butternut squash risotto with grilled key lime shrimp and lemon pepper asparagus, broiled flounder with sherry cream lobster sauce, or a grilled rib eye with porcini and portabella mushroom sauté, basil port plum demi. The desserts to choose from include poached pear half with ginger bread and cinnamon whipped cream or coffee bananas foster with vanilla ice cream.
The Hobbit– Choices of appetizers include soup de jour, sautéed mussels, or a soft-shell B.A.T. (bacon, avocado, tomato). For the salad you may choose from a garden salad, the Hobbit Caesar, or a cashew cherry salad. The main entrées include a carne asada flat iron steak, a chicken roulade, a Mahi Mahi, a jumbo lump crabcake, or a pork chop au poivre. The dessert is the cupcake of the day.
Micky Fin’s- You may choose from the soup of the day or cream of crab soup, along with a side house baby greens salad, an iceberg wedge or a Caesar salad. Entrees being offered include a broiled jumbo lump crab cake, a grilled 8 oz. frenched pork rib chop, chicken Rockefeller, grilled or friend gulf shrimp, fish of the day, or a grilled center cut beef tenderloin all served with starch and veggie of the day.
