(April 10, 2015) The Stephen Decatur baseball team shut out the Wi-Hi Indians 10-0 in five innings on Tuesday in Salisbury.
Decatur tallied three runs in the second inning, five in the third and two in the fourth.
The Seahawks scored their 10 runs on just four hits. Senior Brooks Holloway and junior Zach Adams had RBI singles.
Freshman pitcher Tristan McDonough struck out seven Indians, gave up two hits and walked one. Holloway finished the fifth with one strikeout.
“We pitched well, but [we’re] not taking good offensive approaches,” said Decatur Coach Rich Ferro. “We need to use the whole field and move runners.”
Decatur is scheduled to compete against the North Caroline Bulldogs today, Friday, at 4 p.m. in Ridgely.
