Beer for teachers – Microbrew Monday

To be honest this post isn’t exclusively beer for teachers, and “beer for teachers” it isn’t exclusive to this week. It is, however, the first in a new approach to Microbrew Monday. One of the things that we always try and remember here at OceanCity.Com is that many of our readers are out of town during the week in question. While most of our events happen in Ocean City, our partners at ShoreCraftBeer.com are in touch with our local exporters: Breweries.
So in addition to letting you in on some of the local happenings, we’re keeping an eye out for Tap Takeovers and other events that local breweries participate in that might not be on the Delmarva Peninsula. To that end, if you know of or see any Eastern Shore Beer, please tag @shorecraftbeer on Twitter or Facebook with a photo. They would be happy to RT and share.

Beer for Teachers

Every Monday starts out the same for people in the school system and the folks at 3rd Wave Brewing try and sympathize with the long week ahead by offering specials. We like to think of it as both a reminder of how great last weekend was and a shout out to the weekend to come. Also, to be fair, it is a subtle reminder that no one thought the barley, hops and yeast would amount to anything, but someone put the effort into them and they achieved greatness.

Enjoy Shore Craft Beer elsewhere

One of our new features both here and on the Shore Craft Beer Facebook page and website will be to let those of you who are out of town know where to get the beer our breweries export. If there’s an event going on, so much the better! For example, this week our friends at Assawoman Bay Brewing Company are having a tap takeover in Cape Charles, Va. If you’re in the area, you could do worse than to slide by The Oyster Farm Seafood Eatery and check them out.

Come enjoy fresh local beer and oysters Wednesday, November 11th for Waterman Wednesday! Assawoman Bay Tap Takeover and fresh Virginia Oysters at the Oyster Farm Seafood Eatery in Cape Charles, VA.

The art of drinking

Closing out the week and gearing up for what might be the first coldish weekend of the year might best be accomplished by putting your outer craft beer lover in touch with your inner artist. We’re certain they will hit it off, they always do.
As unassuming as Fordham and Dominion Brewing is, they always have something cool going on. The coolest thing about this is it gives craft beer a little bit of equal footing with wine in the party segment.
