OC Sandfest 2015 in Pictures (21 photos)

If you are in Ocean City this week, you may notice a couple of changes as you drive down Coastal Highway. The speed limit, normally 40 mph through North Ocean City, has been reduced to 30 mph, and Downtown, the speed limit has also been reduced. This is due to the expected, unauthorized H2Oi Pop-Up Rally.  It is reasonable to expect heavier than usual traffic, noise and strict enforcement of vehicle laws during the week and weekend.

The OC Sandfest is back by popular demand this year! The event is a great family attraction, featuring massive, breathtaking sand sculptures and activities along the Ocean City boardwalk between North Division Street and 4th Street.

You can watch champion sand sculptors from all over the country create masterpieces from our smooth beach sand until August 28th. Once their work is done, it will be on display all weekend, until August 30th. It’s even more worthwhile to catch them at night when they’re illuminated.

While the sculptures are the main attraction, you and your children also have the opportunity to learn the art for yourselves. A Sand Sculpting Class and Demonstration are available on Saturday, August 29th at 9 am and 12 pm.

The OC Sandfest is a fun, educational and cultural experience for you and your family to enjoy. You can still watch live sculpting today and tomorrow,so get out there!
