Ocean City

This week in OC: February 13-19, 2015

Welcome to Valentine’s Day weekend in Ocean City! This week you get the chance to buy or win your next boat, the chance to celebrate love for a great cause, and the chance to help your favorite businesses get recognized for their hard work and exceptional products/service.

Here are this week’s highlights:

– Boats and watermen rejoice, the Seaside Boat Show returns to Ocean City for the 32nd year this weekend! Originating from the Convention Center, the 32nd Seaside Boat Show will feature over 140 exhibitors and 350 boats on display. Shop for your next watercraft, peruse the newest gear and accessories, or watch live demos by some of the biggest names in boating. If that wasn’t enough, the Seaside Boat Show prides itself on being kid friendly and this year one lucky guest will take home an 18′ Sweetwater pontoon boat, compliments of North Bay Marina. The event is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday and tickets can be purchased at the door.

– Friday may be the 13th, but it is also the Lovefest fundraiser at Pour House. Ward off any potential bad luck with this musical fundraiser to benefit Mike Armstrong.  Tranzfusion, Smooth & Remy, Wes Davis, Old School and The Mood Swingers will provide the entertainment and a silent auction will accompany tunes and dancing. A $10 donation gets you in the door. Party starts at 6 and lasts ‘until.’ Call  410-289-7687 for more info.

-Finally, Ocean City’s longest, most prestigious Best Of awards are winding down, giving you just a couple weeks left to help your favorites restaurants, bars, and businesses receive the recognition they deserve. Make sure to cast your vote in over 40 categories, as the awarding of the title of Best of Ocean City® for 2105 falls squarely on your shoulders. Do you love OCMD? Vote now and prove it.
