With a nor’easter hammering the mid-Atlantic earlier this week and Joaquin lurking in the Gulf as it prepares to head north, it looks like a wet weekend in store for Ocean City, MD.
Due to weather forecasts and a state of emergency declared throughout Maryland, many events planned for this weekend in and around Ocean City have been cancelled. Additionally, beaches in Ocean City are closed until further notice.
Among the cancellations/postponements are the annual Winefest on the Beach, Salisbury University’s Seagull Century bike race, OPA National Powerboat Races, the Maryland Association of Realtors Convention, Pooch Palooza at Frontier Town, and Relay for Life Wicomico County. As of this writing, the H20i car show is still scheduled to go on as planned.
A full list of cancellations can be found here. You you can also follow updates on the OceanCity.com Emergency page or on our Facebook for updates as they become available as well as real time photos and videos of Ocean City as Joaquin travels up the coast..
