While there are many minor events and activities to speak of around Ocean City, MD this week, there are two major ones coming your way that deserve all the attention.
– Delmarva Bike Week took over our peninsula earlier this week, bringing with it the return of OC Bikefest for the 5th straight year. The largest motorcycle rally in Ocean City, Bikefest dedicated to the two wheel lifestyle. With a full slate of activities at the Inlet and Convention Center, Bikefest is a 4 day blowout with stunt shows, product demos, celebrity appearances, and live music. This year, you have the chance to meet artist Scott Jacobs and Michelle Smith (formerly of American Thunder and Two Wheeled Thunder), participate in the annual poker run, win one of two Epiphone Les Paul guitars signed by the bands from OC BikeFest 2015 at the live auction on Friday, jump into the NASCAR Simulator, or even design your own custom bike. – By the time the dust settles from Bikefest, another Ocean City tradition is primed to take its place at the Inlet. And not just any tradition, but Ocean City’s biggest and most popular festival: Sunfest. What started 41 years ago returns to Ocean City September 24-27 for yet another attempt at delaying the arrival of fall with fantastic food, creative crafts, and live music. National recording acts Tony Orlando, Wynonna and The Big Noise, and Gin Blossoms and the Spin Doctors will provide the headlining entertainment, but other than these performances, Sunfest is 100% free to attend.
