Head to the boardwalk and look to the sky for this new summer beach tradition. It is hard to miss the 5-story tall sphere emanating laser lights and special effects accompanied by pulsating music, but even harder to look away. The whole family is sure to enjoy this hypnotic experience of sight and sound along the ocean.
Sundaes in the Park– Sundays through August 25 at Northside Park on 125th St
Part concert series. Part ice cream social. But 100% fun for the whole family. Bring your chairs, blankets, and appetites to Northside Park each Sunday for a night of live music and sweet treats as the sun fades over the Assawoman Bay. Once the show ends and the ice cream is being digested, stick around for grand finale fireworks over the bay. The entertainment schedule is as follows:

Movies are a great way to bring the family together for a relaxing evening, but you’ve never really seen the silver screen until you’ve viewed it under the silver light of the moon over the Atlantic Ocean. OC offers free beach movies three nights a week, featuring new and classic titles, to help your whole family unwind after a long day in the sun.

Everyone loves fireworks and in Ocean City, they aren’t just for the 4th of July. Each Monday and Tuesday you can view an 8 minute firework spectacular over the ocean. Whether you bring your beach chair or watch from the boardwalk, a summer sky filled with colorful lights is the perfect family friendly end to any evening.
Family Beach Olympics– Tuesdays through August 6 on 27th St
If you’ve had enough relaxation and wish to show off your skills in a family friendly competition instead of lounging around all night, Tuesday’s Beach Olympics are calling your name. Don’t miss your chance to compete for family pride in exciting events each week, including everything from beach tug-of-war to sand castle building contests. Beach Olympics take place 6:30-8:30 and is an all ages event.
Concerts on the Beach– Wednesdays through August 28 at North Division St beach
Whether you want to boogie on the dance floor or relax from the comfort of your beach chair, free Concerts on the Beach will provide you with hours of entertainment. Join the top local acts and tribute bands each Wednesday from 8:00-9:30 for a night of live music and fun in a scenic setting, without paying a cover charge.
Sunset Park Party Nights– Thursdays through August 29 on South Division St Bayside
There’s something about live music along that water that instantly relieves stress and deeply relaxes the soul. Each Thursday at Sunset Park, enjoy a free concert as the sun sinks into the Isle of Wright Bay. This is a family friendly event, but refreshments, including beer, are available for purchase.
