Lillian ChaneyOCEAN PINES — Lillian Florence Chaney, née Walston, 91, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at her home. Born in Fairmont, Md., she was the daughter of the late Harold and Lillian Dize Walston. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles George Chaney in 2009.
She is survived by her sons, Raymond Francis
Chaney and his wife, Patricia Ann, and Charles Richard Chaney and his wife, Karran, all of Baltimore; and daughters, Charlotte Anne Hall and her husband, James M. Hall Jr., and Valencia Lee “Lynn” McLaren and her husband, Richard, all of Ocean Pines. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 16 greatgrandchildren. She also leaves a dear sister-in-law, Lillian “Sis” Fairley.
Mrs. Chaney had worked at Eastern Aircraft during WWII as a riveter. She was an avid bowler and had been a member of the Bowling Belles in Parkville and St. Michaels, the Arch Angel Church, in Overlea, Md.
A celebration of her life will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 1, at the Ocean Pines Community Center, in the Assateague room. Arrangements are in the care of Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin.
