The MD Transportation Authority is proposing to raise tolls. The Bay Bridge is slated to go from $2.50 to $5.00 on October 1st and then to $8.00 as of July 1, 2013.
Public hearings are being conducted around the State. The Maryland Transportation Authority says that the toll increase will be used for construction projects on the roadways and bridges used to get to the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
A hearing will be held locally on Thursday, July 14th, 2011 at 5:30 pm. The public hearing will take place at Stephen Decatur Middle School. This is your opportunity to voice your opinion about the proposed toll increases.
