It’s Restaurant Week in Ocean City! From 6/5/2011 – 6/9/2011 Ocean City restaurants will be having fantastic specials. During the week, many spectacular restaurants will offer a special fixed-price three course dinner menu for just $30 and/or a two course menu for $20 (tax, gratuity and alcohol not included). No passes, tickets or coupons are required. Instead, diners may simply visit their favorite participating restaurants throughout the week to enjoy the special prix fixe menus. It is strongly recommended that you make advance reservations.
The Ocean City Air Show will soar over the shores of OC on Saturday, June 11th, and Sunday, June 12th. Celebrating its fourth year in Ocean City, the Air Show has a great new show planned. Visitors can watch the show along the entire length of the Ocean City boardwalk free of charge. VIP seating is available at 16th Street and the Boardwalk from noon to 4 pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
A Flag Day ceremony will be held on Sunday, June 12th at noon during the Ocean City Air Show. A U.S. Navy Seals team and the 101st Airborne Jump Team will parachute from a plane and deliver a U.S. Flag to a small group of United States Veterans. The Flag Day Ceremony will take place on 16th Street and the beach.
The OC Car & Truck show comes to Ocean City on June 11th and 12th. This show is one of the East Coast’s larges automotive and car culture events. Look for tuners, exotic makes, trucks, SUV’s, classics, and motorcycles. Vendors, displays, and live performances are arranged at 40th Street and Coastal Highway. Tickets will be sold at the Convention Center box office on 40th Street over the weekend. The show hours are 10 am – 10 pm on Saturday, 10 am – 6 pm on Sunday.
The 30th anniversary of the Mid-Atlantic Classic Chevrolet Festival takes place on 128th Street and Coastal Highway on Saturday, June 11th. This car show is open to all 1929-84 Chevrolets. There will be a boardwalk cruise Sunday at 8:30 a.m. Auction, games, raffles and awards including best of show, engine, paint and interior. This even is free to spectators. Registration for cars from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday and 9 to noon on Sunday.
Remember that the beaches of Ocean City, MD are always free and open to the public. Ocean City Beach Patrol member guard the beach from 10 am to 5:30 pm daily. Be sure to obey all rules, regulations, and lifeguard instructions while on the beach. Enjoy the 10-miles of white, sandy beaches that Ocean City has to offer!
