Trying to stir up some action around here, it's been like that episode of The Twilight Zone; "Where is Everybody".

Anyway, I've been like a little kid in December, waiting for the big day. Opening up the condo in 3 weeks and have been planning/restocking, etc. Thought I'd make a big batch of Maryland Crab Soup, so I tripled the recipe below and made 10 quarts to freeze.

So if you have a great recipe, Crab Dip, Crabcakes, Chesapeake whatever, post it here:

MARYLAND CRAB SOUP:

2 Tablespoons oil
1 diced carrot
1 diced medium onion
3 cups chicken broth
3 cups beef broth
3-4 cups diced potatoes
3-4 cups diced tomatoes
2 teaspoons Old Bay
1 pound crabmeat
2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Saute carrot & onion until soft
Add broths, potatoes, tomatoes and Old Bay
Simmer until potatoes are tender
Add crabmeat and parsley and simmer

I couldn't find Blue Crab meat around here, so settled for regular crab. Blue Crab works much better, the meat falls apart into small bits and permeates the entire soup. If the potatoes aren't diced small, simmer longer. I used a large crock pot and another large pot and simmered everything for around 8 hours before freezing

Turned out great. The wife took some to work and the whole office was wondering what the smell coming from the microwave was.
