Condo Rental
Does anyone on here have a condo and rent it out? I was thinking of buying one as an investment property. I need to do more research to see if it's worth it and if any money can be made from it.

Depends. Condo fees can be a deal breaker. When I was looking, you could have over $8k/year in condo fees and RE taxes. Add to that mortgage, utilities, and maintenance, you'd need to be booked solid to even get near breaking even. Maryland, unfortunately, is a crappy place to own real estate.

investment
Yes taxes and condo fees are crazy.. I have a co worker who has a condo and rents it every week in the summer..they dont go down at all.. that is not a vacation home to me...it is an investment...I think they make enough to cover the payments, and fees...

Forget any property in Maryland!! Try Delaware and you have a chance of making a few bucks. But don't make it your retirement nest egg!!
