    Favorite Banks

What are your Favorite Banks in and around OC and why. I am with Bank of America and would like something

    a little more personal.

Banks stink. Try to find a credit union if you qualify. If you have military, Navy Federal is good. Used to be a local bank there I think called Taylor Bank on the corner of 50 and 611 but I believe they've been taken over by one of the Borg Banks of America.

No, but in all honesty I haven't set foot in a branch of my bank in probably 5 years. I'm with Chevy Chase, now Capital One.

Bank of America was my bank all thru college but they cut my credit cards back and charge me for

burping and walking it seems like. I just didnt know if theres a more local friendly bank.

    Thats why I asked anyway.

Taylor Bank and the Bank of Ocean City both have branch's in Ocean City and throughout Northern Worcester County. Both are completely local, and both are friendly.

Bank of Ocean City is pretty cool, at least some of the people I know who work there including the VP Reid Tingle.

Personally I deal with Suntrust and get my auto loans via Wilmington Trust who was just bought by M&T Bank.

Having worked in banks all my adult life I prefer any smaller hometown banks. They just treat you better. At least that's my experience.

    Re: Favorite Banks

Both my wife and I work for a local bank. She is full time and I'm part-time at night. We just recently went from a national charter to a state charter and because of it had to change our name sine "National Bank" was part of the official name. Interestingly, we do our primary checking at a FCU and even more interestinly, we have our loans from banks other than where we bank or work at. For my car loan, we use BB&T which I found to be very good to deal with. They have a brank around 47th street, give or take a couple of blocks. I actually paid my October car payment at that branch while we were down there for Endless Summer Cruisin.
