(Sept. 16, 2005) Ernie Emerson, a farm boy from New York, has been movin’ on up in Ocean City since he first leased the worn down building that Bahama Mamas restaurant and hotel occupies on Wicomico Street.
And the next move in his business chess game begins on Sept 25 when he will demolish the restaurant and hotel that sits on the Sinepuxent Bay to make way for a $7 million dollar condominium project that will sit atop a new glass walled version of his Bahaman-themed seafood restaurant. The restaurant is scheduled to be opened sometime in May 2006 and the 13 three bedroom condominiums; Emerson Towers, will be completed in July.
