The World Food Championships is the largest competition in Food Sport, where grand champions of previous events convene for a chance at winning the ultimate food crown and a share of hundreds of thousands of dollars in prize money. The World Food Championships is also the springboard for many up and coming culinary stars and home cooks as they seek TV fame through many well-known food shows and acting opportunities. The Restaurant Association of Maryland is bringing the MD World Food Championship seafood qualifier event to Ocean City! It will take place during their 48th Annual Trade Expo at the Convention Center on Sunday, March 6 at 2pm on the Showcase Stage. There will be space for three chefs to cook their best seafood dish head to head live on stage.  The Ocean City winner will receive $500 and a Golden Ticket to compete in the World Food Championship in Dallas Texas in November – where the big prize is $100,000!
