Matthew Amey is a self-taught artist from the Eastern Shore. Tattooing since 1991 and creating artwork for over 20 years, Amey has experimented with oil, acrylic, watercolors, glass and digital design. Amey is part owner of Independent Tattoo in Selbyville, DE.
Lately, Amey has been working on a series of images that depict children on swings under silhouettes of trees. With the use of a laser engraver, this talented artist has transferred his images onto a number of different materials. These series is titled “The End of Innocence”.
Join Amey at an upcoming art show where he is the featured artist. The show takes place on Saturday, August 13th from 6 – 11:30 pm at Punk Rock Fish Studios. The studio gallery will be open also.
Available for sale are prints on paper created from the different materials experimented with. Prints will be for sale at Punk Rock Fish Studios starting Saturday, August 13th, 2011. Punk Rock Fish is located on Route 611 in West Ocean City, MD.
