As you stroll along the Boardwalk each night between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day, enjoy the Beach Lights as they light up the beach in time to music, from 9pm to 11pm. Each 3-minute displays will start at 9:00pm, 9:20pm, 9:40pm, 10:00pm, 10:20pm, 10:40pm, and 11:00pm. This lighting attraction features high-powered searchlights that accent the sky and surrounding area around N. Division Street and the Boardwalk. Searchlights move and sway, creating a dance of light to musical selections played through boardwalk speakers. The lights change into a variety of colors, bathing the surrounding beachscape and boardwalk in vibrant colors.

1 Review on “Beach Lights”

We got to Talbott Street at 8:30, sat on a bench facing the the ocean, and waited until 9:00. They started testing the lights I guess, shining strips of light on the beach, alternating between each of the light sources on the stands. Finally at 9:30 they started the first show. It was the most pitiful display I’ve ever seen!! One of the stands did not light up at all, the others had a very sporadic pattern. Had each whole stand lit up entirely, it would have been much better and more colorful. As it was, it looked like there were parts not working. The “searchlights” were a joke. They went up into the sky and didn’t look like anything. Had there been a display of light on the beach (sand) like when they were testing earlier, that would have been a whole lot cooler! I am not a tech person, but I know there was so much more they could have done with the right designer! I certainly hope that since summer has not officially started yet, someone can get this “light attraction” functioning more efficiently. It’s a neat idea if it is done properly, but what we saw last night was very very poor!!
Totally agree
