Delmarva Bike Week in Ocean City September 16-19th

If you are in Ocean City this week, you may notice a couple of changes as you drive down Coastal Highway. The speed limit, normally 40 mph through North Ocean City, has been reduced to 30 mph, and Downtown, the speed limit has also been reduced. This is due to the expected, unauthorized H2Oi Pop-Up Rally.  It is reasonable to expect heavier than usual traffic, noise and strict enforcement of vehicle laws during the week and weekend.

2010 marks the 10th year of Delmarva Bike Week. Ocean City is a perfect place to host such an event because we can easily accept large crowds after our Summer rush has come to an end around Labor Day weekend. This year, Ocean City’s Bike Week is scheduled for September
16th-19
th, just two weeks after Labor Day.

There are five main places to visit during Delmarva Bike Week this year:

Harley-Davidson of Ocean City: This is the place to get all of your
Official Delmarva Bike Week merchandise. The Harley-Davidson staff
will be cooking great food outside while Dan Kite pinstripes bikes on
the spot.

Harley-Davidson of Seaford: Seaford has become a favorite stop for
motorcyclists on their way to Ocean City. There were ill plenty of
vendors, food, beer, and live music at Harley-Davidson all weekend
long. Official Delmarva Bike Week merchandise will be for sale at the
store.

Seacrets Nite Club in Ocean City: The parking lot of Seacrets looks
like an sea of chrome during Bike Week. Live music will be broadcast
from every stage in Seacrets, cool drinks will be served, the
nite-club packed, and vendors will be present.

Winter Place Park in Salisbury: Winter Place will be booming with the
sound of loud exhausted and live music during Delmarva Bike Week this
year. Shop in the vendors section, grab a bite to eat, check out the
Wall of Death, mingle with celebrity builders, and find out what the
Dancing Digger is. Kashmir, a Led Zeppelin tribute band, is expected
to rock the stage while the Coors Lite crew distributes beer.

Shorebird Stadium in Salisbury: The Arthur W. Perdue stadium will be
packed full of great vendors, entertainment, and demo rides. Yamaha
Motor Corporation and Victory Motorcycles will be giving demo rides
all day to those who care to take a test drive on a new bike. The
stadium is located on Route 50 in Salisbury, MD directly across from
Winter Place Park. There will be a free shuttle service between these
two locations.

Other nearby communities like Seaford, Harrington, Salisbury, and Crisfield will all be having their own Bike Week celebrations, too. Motorcycle riders have discovered the fun in riding from place to place.

Get ready to watch thrill shows, bike builders, vendors, live
entertainment, and bike parade through town. You’ll never have to pay
to get into any of the mentioned events. Delmarva Bike Week is a free
event
.

Bring your bike to Ocean City for Delmarva Bike Week and participate in the fun. We’ll see you during the weekend of September 16th – 19th!
