Cruisin’ Car Show at Ocean City Outlets

If you are in Ocean City this week, you may notice a couple of changes as you drive down Coastal Highway. The speed limit, normally 40 mph through North Ocean City, has been reduced to 30 mph, and Downtown, the speed limit has also been reduced. This is due to the expected, unauthorized H2Oi Pop-Up Rally.  It is reasonable to expect heavier than usual traffic, noise and strict enforcement of vehicle laws during the week and weekend.

The Ocean City Factory Outlets will host their Classic Cruisin’ car show on Friday, May 20th, starting at 8:30 am rain or shine. Cruiser registration takes place until 10:30 am. The first 85 cruisers registered receive a commemorative dash plaque and free basket raffle ticket.

All proceeds from the basket raffle, registration and 50/50 raffle benefit Maryland’s Lower Shore Special Olympics. The show, sidewalk sales, karaoke and entertainment with DJ Hey Mick and associated raffle activities are open to the public.

Hundreds of classic cars compete each year for one of the five Outstanding Show awards and one Best in Show trophy. Don Klein, owner of Shoreline Auto Sales in Newark, MD will judge and award the trophies for the 2011 show.
