Ribbon cutting

The Berlin Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Main Street Sweets at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30.

Main Street Sweets has been open for over two months with much great success. The local customers as well as the local children and the visitors all have been happy to have a candy sweet shop here and I have to say, so am I,” said owner Connie Mayers.

Small business work

On Tuesday, Nov. 27, the Ocean Pines Chamber will host an informative public workshop on how to start up a small business at the Ocean Pines Library from 5-7 p.m. Local professionals will walk through the processes including licensing, certifications, financing, human resources and insurance.

Attendees will then have an opportunity to network with Chamber members and other business people to learn about the resources they will need to start a new business.

Bjorkland named VP

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage ® recently announced that Kelley Bjorkland has been named branch vice president of the company’s 120th Street office in Ocean City.
