New adoption center

The Petco store in West Ocean City has opened a pet adoption center, which will be managed by Town Cats of Ocean City. Town Cats has had a close relationship with Petco Charities and has received grants and product supply from the organization.

“We are very excited about this new outlet for our rescued cats and kittens and think it will serve the Ocean City community well,” said Christ Aument of Town Cats.

According to Aument, cats available for adoption have received their required shots, been tested for FIVFeLV and been de-wormed and treated for fleas. Cats older than 4 months have been spayed/neutered and received a rabies shot, she said.

The cats can be seen in the store every day during operating hours.

The Town Cats organization is requesting a $50 adoption fee to help defray their expenses. For more information, contact Aument at 610-716- 3704 or visit the Town Cats Web site, www.towncats.net.

Town Cats is a 501(c)3 organization whose primary mission is spay/neutering of feral cats.
