Woulfe joins L&F

Julie Woulfe

Long & Foster Real Estate, the largest independent residential real estate company in the United States, welcomes Julie Woulfe to its Ocean City office. Woulfe brings to her new position a background in retirement planning and financial services, providing her the experience needed to help buyers and sellers achieve real estate success.

Before her real estate career Woulfe worked as a retirement plan consultant, specializing in 401(k) plans, for more than 20 years. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia and the Institute for Paralegal Training, and currently belongs to the Coastal Association of Realtors, the Maryland Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.

Woulfe, along with her spouse Terry, raised three sons in Baltimore before moving to Ocean Pines four years ago.

Fisher hires DeSantis

Christopher DeSantis

Fisher Architecture LLC, a locally owned architectural firm providing functional design and construction solutions to clients, announced the addition of Christopher DeSantis to its team of architectural designers.

DeSantis graduated from the University of Kentucky and received a Master of Architecture degree from Virginia Tech in 2014, specializing in structures. He has been a mason for more than 20 years working for his family business. He also has building, heavy construction and design-build experience with Bosacco Builders and F&S Constructors.

His design skills include certifications in Rhinoceros 4.0, AutoCAD Architecture 2015. As an architectural designer, he will be responsible for CAD (computer-aided design) drawings and projects and producing final renderings for Architects I and II. He also creates manual drawings for projects and project visions by use of rendering.

ASCD welcomes Huber

Beatrice Huber

Atlantic/Smith, Cropper & Deeley (ASCD) welcomes Beatrice Huber to its Life & Health Department. Huber joins ASCD with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Towson University.

She aims to help ASCD business and individual customers gain a better understanding of benefits by assisting with questions, claims and enrollments. She utilizes her teaching skills to educate customers, solve problems and empathize with health related issues.

Huber’s advice for success at work is to give 100 percent, ask questions, be positive and learn from experiences.

Swartz finishes cert.

Timothy Swartz, vice president and COO of Insurance Management Group, Inc. (IMG) of Ocean City, has successfully completed the final educational and testing requirement to earn the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation from the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors.

To earn this prestigious designation Swartz attended five courses covering all phases of the insurance business and passed five comprehensive examinations.

Swartz, a 25-year veteran of the industry, has been a Certified Insurance Service Representative for 14 years prior to earning the CIC designation.

IMG, located in Ocean City, specializes in insuring condominiums, hotels, restaurants, businesses, homeowners, automobile and watercraft insurance in Maryland, Delaware and Virginia.

ACF honors Mayers

Mark Mayers, CEC, AAC, corporate chef of the Harrison Group, Ocean City,  was one of three chefs from the northeast who received Cutting Edge Awards from the American Culinary Federation during ChefConnect: Baltimore, ACF’s Northeast/Southeast Regional Conference, held Feb. 15-17, in Baltimore.

The Cutting Edge Award was presented in recognition of their leadership and service to the culinary profession.
