Best of the Best of Ocean City Recognized

Since 2011, OceanCity.com has been the host site for the Best of Ocean City® contest, wherein visitors and locals alike nominate and vote for their favorite Ocean City venues. The Best of Ocean City® is the only local popular vote not tied to advertising or sponsorship, relying instead on the fans of Ocean City businesses’ enthusiasm to propel the most engaged businesses to the top. In 2015, well over 100,000 votes were cast to determine the winners in each of four categories, Best Bars, Best Restaurants, Best of the Boardwalk, and Best Activities and in more than 42 different polls.

At the Ocean City Hotel Motel Restaurant Association (OCHMRA) April Gala held April 14 at the Harrison Harbor Watch Restaurant, OceanCity.com and Comcast Spotlight partnered to present the inaugural Best of the Best of Ocean City® awards to 11 local businesses that had topped categories each of the five previous years the awards were presented.

Winning businesses were: Seacrets, Dumsers, Harrison’s Harbor Watch, Captain’s Table, Fager’s Island, The Crabcake Factory, The Shark, Old Pro Golf, The Original Greene Turtle, Judith M and Horizons.  Click here to see all winners.

Voting for the 2016 season continues through May 31, at OceanCity.com. Information on how to attract more votes is available here.

Starting with 2016, the top 10 vote getters overall will be awarded the Best of the Best of Ocean City® plaques, produced in West Ocean City by Plak That and co-sponsored by Comcast Spotlight.
