Looking for something to do this Friday night? Enjoy an evening of art in Berlin! This quaint little town, only 10 miles away from Ocean City, will be filled with artists, vendors, and onlookers galore.
This Friday, May 7th, Berlin will be celebrating local artists by holding their annual Spring Arts Night Celebration. Local artists, talents, and crafters will line the historic streets and stir up the shops in town. Walk along the tree-lined streets from 6 to 9 p.m. or wander through the many art galleries to spot some of the newest work from your favorite locals.
The Globe Restaurant and Bar are sponsoring musicians from the Ocean City area. Look for the Bryan Russo Band playing at the intersection of Pitts and Main Streets and Charlie Flagiello wandering the streets playing stringed instruments. The Atlantic Hotel and Drummer’s Café will be open for fine dining and drinking. Kick back on the rocking chairs lining the front porch of the hotel and listen to the music filling the streets of Berlin.
Several artists will have work on exhibit. Debbi Dean-Colley will have work at Bruder Hill with appetizers and drinks. Helen Hammerman, a pastel and acrylic painter, will have work on display at the Worcester County Art Council. A Step Above Gallery and Gifts plan to feature work by Jan Cagnon. Water’s Edge Gallery will have work displayed from a handful of area artists. The staff at Jeff Auxer Glass Studio will be blowing hot glass and showing several newly created glass favorites.
The Berlin Coffee House will be making their specialty coffees, serving local ice cream, and will have artwork posted in their living room. The Baked Dessert Café will be serving their fresh baked goodies, cupcakes, cannoli, pies, and drinks while a local jewelry artists displays their work on the attached patio.
Come to Berlin and shop at the unique stores. Stay a few hours and eat fresh foods while being entertained. Berlin is filled with one-of-a-kind talents that shouldn’t be missed! Celebrate the areas local artists at the Berlin Spring Arts Night Celebration this Friday!
