And the Best of Ocean City 2013 Facebook and OceanCity.com Site Poll Winners are…

We had THOUSANDS OF VOTERS weighing in on who they thought the winner of the OceanCity.com Best of Ocean City poll was in  30 different categories.  There were 16 winners in the restaurant and dining categories, 8 winners in the Bars & Music categories, and 6 winners in the watersports and activities categories.

Following, you will find a quick summary of the winners in the Facebook and OceanCity.com site polls.  More detailed analysis and winners in the other 3 categories will follow.  For now, CONGRATULATIONS to this first set of winners… 

RESTAURANT AND DINING CATEGORIES

BEST BREAKFAST:

#1:  Crabcake Factory with 19% of the votes

#2:  Other (These were write in votes.  No one business got more votes than Crabcake Factory did, but Jimmy’s Kitchen in Fenwick, DE got A LOT of write-in votes.)

#3:  Satellite Cafe 

BEST WINGS:

#1:  Greene Turtle with 17% of the votes

#2: Hooters with 16.5% of the votes

#3:  Fat Daddy’s with 14% of the votes

BEST ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT/BUFFET:

#1:  Phillip’s Crab House with 30% of the votes

#2: The Bonfire with 26.5% of the votes

#3:  Embers’s with 25% of the votes

BEST ETHNIC FOOD:

#1:  Tequila Mockingbird with 20% of the votes

#2: OC Wasabi with 18.5% of the votes

#3:  La Hacienda and Mother’s Cantina were tied for 3rd  with 10.36% of the votes

BEST CRABCAKES:

#1:  Crabcake Factory USA with 33.5% of the votes

#2: Captain’s Galley with 16% of the votes

#3: The Shark on the Harbor with 11% of the votes

BEST CRABS:

#1:  Crab Bag with 34% of the votes

#2: Hooper’s Crab House with 19.5% of the votes

#3: Other with 13% of the votes.  While the write-in votes were widely spread between different businesses in Ocean City, Crabs to Go received about 1/5 of the write-in votes.

BEST RAW BAR:

#1:  the Raw Bar in Harrison’s Harbor Watch with 28% of the votes

#2: BJ’s on the Water with 26% of the votes

#3:  Bull on the Beach with 10% of the votes

BEST WATERFRONT DINING:

#1:  Fager’s Island with 17.4% of the votes

#2: Sunset Grille  with 16.65% of the votes

#3:  Fish Tale’s with 13% of the votes

BEST DESSERT:

#1:  Dumser’s Dairyland  with 33% of the votes

#2: Cupcakes in Bloom  with 24% of the votes.  While these votes were actually write-in votes cast in the “other” category, Cupcakes in Bloom received 446 write-in votes!
