Official Entry Rules
* The
contest is open to all photographers, videographers, writers, and travelers except for employees of the
Maryland Office of Tourism, Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Worcester County Office of Tourism, Maryland.com, OceanCity.com, Delmarva Low Impact Tourism, or UnScene Productions and their immediate families.
* The contest runs until August 1, 2009. All entries must
be submitted online by July 31, 2009 to be considered. Winners will be announced in August on the WildsofWorcester.com website. They will also receive notification of their award and their prizes via the email address submitted with their entries.
* Entries are being encourage in four categories:
* Photos.
* Video (All video must be online already. Entrants will supply the url for their videos. Instructions will be available on www. WildsofWorcester for the uploading of your videos to YouTube.com.)
* Essays
* Favorite Itineraries (If you have a great trip into the Wilds of Worcester that you are planning or you have taken the same trip a thousand times, submit it and you might just win big! Anything goes, from birding behind Assateague at dawn, to surfing the waves in Ocean City mid-morning, to lunch and a siesta in your Ocean City hotel mid-day, to kite surfing in the afternoon to an evening stroll in Isle of Wight, to an all day kayak along the Pocomoke. Life's good here and we want to know what you like to do.
* All pictures, videos, essays and itineraries must be original and must have been taken within the past two years.
* Previously published photos, or parts thereof, are not eligible.
* Eligible formats for digital submissions include gif and jpeg images
* Video must be available online and the link included in the submission for your video entry.
* There is no limit to the
number of submissions that may be submitted by an individual.
* Every contestant must complete all questions on the submission form. This data is to be used by the contest partners only.
* Judging will take place online by your peers. We will make every effort to limit the number of votes from any individual or ip address so that the contest is fair and open to everybody. StateVentures and the other contest partners are not liable for any errors in judging, scoring, or selection of winners. The votes for each submission will be tallied and once announced, all decisions are final. StateVentures has the rights to administer the software, tally the votes, and announce the winners in their sole and
absolute discretion.
* This offer is void where prohibited by law.
* None of the partners listed as part of the Wilds of Worcester promotion are not responsible for lost or misdirected entries .
* All submissions are the property of StateVentures, LLC and may be used by any of the Wilds of Worcester partners for the promotion of tourism and/or the Wilds of Worcester program itself.
* All entries will be published unless deemed inappropriate by StateVentures, LLC at their sole and absolute discretion.
Prizes
There will be one winner in each of the four submission categories. These prizes will consist of a week long getaway in the Wilds of Worcester. Exact prizes will be announced on the website prior to the announcement of winners in August, 2009.
