The Galaxy Bar and Grille places an emphasis on creative dishes. The chefs utilize not only local seafood, but other local products to craft their dishes. Menu items include yellow-fin tuna seared rare and served with a spicy scallion waffle, toasted sesame maple syrup and chilled seaweed salad and Thai rubbed mahi-mahi served with brown sugar and bacon-sautéed dandelion greens, saffron risotto and roasted garlic chipotle butter sauce. One may reserve a premier table for a seven course meal with different wines for $150 a head. The wine list and full bar are award winning. The restaurant is designed with the kitchen in the center of the dining room painted blue with a celestial motif that matches the china pattern.
The dress is business-casual despite the upscale menu and pricing, and reservations can be made in advance, all year-round. Entrees range from $16 to $36 and Galaxy is open for lunch and dinner.
