Formating style and organization

From Ocean City Wiki

Formating and style on the current Ocean City Wiki is fairly consistant. To maintain the consistency, please consider the following.

  • The Ocean City Wiki is written in a simple format in order to encourage editing from users, and easy navagation and understanding.
  • Locations within Ocean City whenever possible have their own page with their phone number written first, location second, a description/basic information third, and is concluded by external links.
  • Ocean City Wiki is held together by The category structure (follow this link for additional details). This structure is designed to help those who might be planning to visit Ocean City and are trying to understand the location and sequence of all of the places they can learn about here on the wiki. Therefore, when a new page is created, we request that you place it within one of six location-based categories. These are, North OC (124th St. and Up), Condo Row (96th St. to 123rd St.), Rt. 90 Area (64th St. to 95th St.), Midtown (28th St. to 63rd. St.), Upper Boardwalk (13th St. to 27th St.), Lower Boardwalk (12th St. and West OC). See a map of the area to help you classify your posts appropriately.
  • Lists on the Ocean City Wiki are written in bulleted format rather then in numbered lists. Bullets and sub-bullets are created by the use of asterisks, and double astrisks.
  • Different sections may be distinguished either by section headings or by simply making a heading bold by placing three apostrophies in front and in the back of the term you are trying to make bold.
