Features

The original Commander Hotel was built in 1931 and boasted the city's first elevator. A cabana building overlooking the outdoor pool was added in 1992. The original hotel was demolished in spring of 1997 and was replaced with the current hotel, which features both oceanfront and oceanview suites and efficiencies. Amenities include an indoor pool, outdoor pool, Skipjack Grille, guest laundry, gift shop, and free parking (one space per guest room). Each guest room has a private balcony or terrace, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and cable TV.
