Children's Discovery Day, an annual celebration at the Julia A Purnell Museum, will take place on Saturday, June 21, 2008. Children will be introduced to the idea of appreciating and being respectful of museums. The museum welcomes young visitors with local history-themed arts and crafts activities, interactive exhibits, and a special scavenger hunt with small prizes awarded to the winners. The event is open to families as well as groups from schools, summer camps and day-cares.

Admission is free for kids 17 and under.
